My best friend Miniko had went out of town for a couple of days and needed someone to babysit her cat.
Though, I wasn't much of a cat person I was kind enough to offer myself. Thinking 'It's was only 7 days (or 168) hours with a cat."
How bad could it be?
Well it was hella bad because this cat wasn't like your normal day to day cat. Ya know the typical cat that sleeps 98% of the time and the other two percents are when it eats and has these random bursts of energy?
Well this cat only wanted to eat, play, snuggle and... go outside! It Thad gotten used to going for daily walks with Miniko that he's even gotten used the the time tables.
🕗 8:00am go for a morning run.
🕦 11:30 go for a walk around the block.
🕓 4:00 walk on the beach
Now, mind you. I wasn't much of a morning person let alone a person who liked to move. I'd prefer to sleep in as late as I can, wake up to only stuff myself with food and then crawl back into bed to binge watch Netflix.
But, I never had time for that because of this cat!
Marlo was the cats name.
It was 3:45 and I was preparing myself to go out for the last walk of the day. I slipped on my flip flops and tucked Marlo into a harness.
I examined myself in the mirror that hung by the door. I was wearing a pair of blue ripped jeans shorts and a grey crop top that was way too obviously too big for me, so I tucked it in.

I had he idea that if I got to the beach earlier with Marlo, it'd be out of his schedule and I might be able to trick him into staying less.

There was not a single sign of life on the beach, the only sounds were the one of the gentle summer breeze tickling the leaves of near by trees, and the soothing rhythmic sound of the water brushing the shore line.
