Suga (Basketball!Suga x Reader)

"Whats this?" I held up the belt and squinted to see the writing inscribed in the medal, "Mens Basketball Championships; City Champs? You played basketball? You never told me this!"

Yoongi shrugged, "Yeah, its been a couple years. I played for Uni."

I was at my boyfriend's house for a weekend he had off. He laid on the couch stuffing his face with lamb chops we had for lunch while I, and my nosy self, took the initiative to go through his medals.

"You're acting as if its not a big deal! That's city champs, as in best in the city Yoongs!" I carefully hung it back on the wall, "I can't even dribble a ball properly, then there's my boyfriend a frickin' city champ!"

Yoongi smiled and wiped his mouth a napkin before sitting up, "I can teach you some tricks if you want."

"Oh heck yes!" I exclaimed, "Yes please!"

Yoongi laughed and cleaned up the mess on the living room table before we headed outside.

"Show me how you dribble." he said tossing the ball, which I barely caught.

"Lord, it been such a long time! I don't even remember which hand I use..." I hesitated to dribble, every time I was going to drop it I switched hands.

"Try your right."

I placed the basketball in the right palm of my hand and let it fall, before smacking it straight on with my palm.

Yoongi lost it.

"That's not how you bounce a basketball" he gasped between laughs, "You use your fingertips."

Pfffft.

"Oh..." I stopped the ball and tried again, this time with my fingertips.

"There... yes..." he smiled, "Now try coming to me."

I took a quick glance at his direction. He had to be at least eight steps away from me. I kept a dribbling th then before taking a step with the ball.

Every fifth dribble I took a step until I was standing in front of Yoongi, while successfully handling the ball.

"Yes, very well done babe!" He beamed.

I smiled. I was quite proud of myself for remembering how to dribble, so proud I was brave enough to challenge him, "Just wait till I start shooting! Once we play a game I'll beat your butt!"

Yoongi raised a brow, "Don't get ahead of yourself there Y/N, You're looking at city champ." He put emphasis on the the C's.

In no time I was running while dribbling, shooting, doing layups and even shooting three pointers.

Pffft, I wish.

I laid spread out in the cement court, just about ready to give up.

"Y/N, you won't get any better if you just quit" Yoongi said before shooting from half court, which of course sunk right in.

"You make it look so easy!" I whined growing my hands into the air, "I mean look it! You just shot from half way across the court and it went in!"

Yoongi retrieved the ball before coming to stand over me, "Here, I'll show you a trick." He held out his hand to me.

Which I glady took, "This trick better be good."

Yoongi placed me in front of the next and moved behind me, "The trick is to put a little spring into it* He threw the ball and once again, it went in the hoop.

A swish.

"Stop showing off!" I called to him as he retrieved the ball.

He laughed, "I'm not trying too, it just happens."

I yanked the ball from his hands with a pout, "I'll show you I can do it, Just you wait." I dribbled the ball a couple of times before holding it above me, with my eyes focused on my target in front of me.

I got low and jumped into the air like s spring, throwing the ball as I did so.

To my surprise it hit the backboard and went in.

I turned to Yoongi with the most ridiculous look on my face.

"Good job." he smiled giving me a small round of applause until I cut him off by jumping into his arms. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him tight.

He laughed and hugged me back.
