“The wedding is to be set on October 27th.” Council Erk announced
“6 months from now?” Katherine said, eyes widening
“Yes, it’s important that you and Prince Oslo get married as quickly as possible.” Council Isa said, writing in her notebook
“The wedding preparations are going to take a couple of months to complete, so we couldn’t do the wedding in 6 months.” Katherine stated, hoping they would be a possibility to postpone the wedding
“The wedding preparations are already complete. All we need to do now is the invitations and your gown.” Council Pyle
“Why wasn’t I aware of the preparations being complete already?” Katherine asked
“That doesn’t concern you. We just need you to focus on your gown.” Council Erk said, standing up
“It does concern me. I am the Queen and I deserve to know what’s going on in my kingdom!” Katherine stated, anger overpowering her
“You may be Queen, but you do not have all the power.” Council Isa announced, standing and walking to the door
Katherine stood there, glaring at the council as they left the room. Council Erk looked back at Katherine, “Royal designers will be here Tuesday morning.”
Once the door shut, Katherine threw a book at the wall. Everything was a lie to her. How can she rule when she doesn’t have all the power? King Julian had all the power in his hands, but now Katherine doesn’t.

“Being Queen is exhausting.” Katherine groan as she leaned back in her chair
“I’m sorry to hear that, your majesty, but I have good news to share with you.” Ko said
Katherine leaned forward and stared at Ko, “What news?” Ko brought out a box from behind him and placed it in front of her
“Prince Oslo, strictly told me to give this to you. He wanted to give you the present himself, but duties call.” Ko said, a smile on his face
“That’s nice of him.” Katherine mumbled as she grabbed the present from Ko’s hand
Katherine placed the present on her desk and began to unwrap it. A mahogany wooden box sat right in front of her.
“I’ll take my leave.” Ko left as Katherine stared at the box
The mahogany box designed with swirls of diamonds and sapphires, a key lying on top of the box. Katherine grabbed the key and placed it in the hole. She twisted the key and heard a click.
Katherine opened the box and a gasp escaped her lips. There laid a crystal bird. The bird jeweled with sapphire, Blue Moon of Josephine Diamond, diamond, and black Orlov. The jewels made the blue jay shimmer in the light. Katherine placed the blue jay on her desk and stared at it, falling in love with it over and over again.
