“Ko, can you give this to Oslo.” Katherine said, handing Ko a piece of paper.

“Yes.” Ko grabbed the paper from Katherine and placed a stack of mail on her desk

Katherine grabbed the stack of mail and began to look through it. Reading each letter and writing a response. She read one, but it fell out of her hand and she stared off into the distance.

How could this happen? Katherine’s mind couldn’t believe that this is happening, but she remembered that it happens early in the marriage. Katherine stood and walked out of her office and towards Oslo’s office. She knocked on the door and waited for Oslo’s response. Once she was granted permission, she walked into the room and quickly closed the door. Oslo looked up from a paper and looked at Katherine.

“Katherine, has something happen?” Oslo said, worried once he saw Katherine’s face

“.....ild.” Oslo came closer to Katherine

“What did you say?” Oslo asked

“A child.” Katherine said, louder

“What about a child?” Oslo asked. At this moment, he was getting more confused

“I’m pregnant with our child.” Katherine said, placing her hands on her stomach

Oslo stood there, frozen. He couldn’t believe what he just heard. Then he placed his hand on top of hers.

“Our child.” Oslo whispered, still not believing

“Yes, the letter from my doctor stated that I was six weeks.” Katherine said, looking up at Oslo

“It had to be a few weeks after the wedding that the baby was conceived.” Oslo stated, Katherine’s face began to turn red

“Please, don’t say that word.” Katherine said, her face becoming more red

“There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Now the problem is, we have to tell the people.” Oslo said, furrowing his eyebrows

“Shouldn’t we wait a while?” Katherine asked

“We might have to since you are in your first trimester.” Oslo stated

“Then, it’s settled we wait until I’m out of my first trimester.”

“Queen Katherine, you’re still awake?” Katherine looked up and saw Ko, staying by the door

“Yes, I have to review this document before I hand it over to King Oliver.” Katherine said, looking back at the paper

“Would you like a cup of water?” Ko asked

“Yes, please.” Katherine said, scratching out a word on the paper

Ko left and came back shortly after five minutes. Katherine was stressing over the paper, making sure it sounded right and it was wrote correctly. Ko set the cup on the desk and Katherine grabbed it and took a sip. She continued work as Ko left. Black spots began to appear in her eyesight, she blinked rapidly to lose the spots, but was ultimately face with darkness.
