XXXVI.

Kana's P.O.V.

"Pete!" Kana yelled, walking through the castle

"Yes, my Queen," Pete said, panting

"Where's Ko?" Kana asked

"I don't know, my Queen. I just know that he left to the town square for a debt," Pete stated, rubbing his neck

"Go search for him," Kana said, walking past him

Kana walked to her bedroom. She opened the door and saw Oslo asleep, his arm over his face.

"Oslo," Kana said, walking over to him and shaking his knee

"Mmhh," Oslo turned on his stomach, digging his head in his arms

"This sleepy head," Kana giggle, she walked over to other side of the bed and sat down beside his head

"Oslo, my bear. It's time to wake up. We have duties to attend too," Kana said, shaking his shoulder

"Let me sleep," Oslo whined, lightly slapping her hand

"Oslo, seriously. You have to wake up. We can't be late...again,"

"Kat- Kana, I'm exhausted since last night you decide to pounce on me like a wild animal," Oslo said, turning on his back and smirking at Kana

"Be quiet," Kana slapped his chest and got up, "I'll see you in the office,"

Nathaniel P.O.V.

"Isla!" Nathaniel yelled, pounding on her door

The door swing open, showing a upset Isla, "May I help you Ma- Oh my God, Katherine!"

Isla shakily touched Katherine's face and moved aside to let Nathaniel pass through.

"Put her on the table," Isla commanded

Nathaniel placed Katherine on the table, keeping pressure on his thigh.

"What happen?" Isla asked, grabbing her kit

"I don't know, but someone attacked her. I was searching for her since she left me alone. I found out in the woods," Nathaniel said, cutting her dress

"And why were you in the woods?" Isla asked, wiping the blood off Katherine

"I thought she would be at the lake inside the woods. I walked around, looking for her. I was losing hope, but I found her," Nathaniel said, checking her heartbeat

"You should've taken her to the hospital," Isla said

"I would've, but I couldn't let Katherine get caught," Nathaniel said, shaking his head

"Nathaniel, don't you think her health is more important than her being caught?" Isla asked

Nathaniel stay quiet, knowing that he should've taken her. He looked up at Isla, who took out alcohol.

"Once, we get her wound clean up. I'll take her to the hospital," Nathaniel said, taking his hand off her wound

"We'll go together. Now can you pass me a towel," Isla said, splashing alcohol on her wound

Nathaniel and Isla helped each other care for Katherine. After, they took her to the hospital. Isla recommended that they'll run to the hospital, but Nathaniel took one of the cars, not caring if his father found out. He just needed to get Katherine to the hospital before something terrible happens.

Nathaniel parked the car in front of the emergency entrance, he got out and helped Isla get Katherine out. He carried Katherine inside the emergency.

"Excuse me, we need help," Isla said, grabbing a nurses arm

The nurse looked at Isla then at Nathaniel, who had a shallow breathing Katherine in his arms. The nurse's eyes widened and left. Isla looked at Nathaniel and motion him to her, he walked close to her. The nurse came back with a gurney.

"Place her on here," He said
Nathaniel hesitated, but placed Katherine on the gurney.  

"I need everyone's attention, there is a black vehicle parked in front of the entrance. Can the owner please move it," The overhead said

Nathaniel looked at Isla, "Stay beside her side," Isla nodded and Nathaniel ran to the car

He got in and drove, looking for a spot and parking. He got out and ran back to the emergency room. He looked for Isla, he eventually found her. Isla was sitting, her head in her hands.

"Isla," Nathaniel said, sitting beside her and placing his hand on her shoulder

"O-oh, Nathaniel, you're back," Isla jumped and looked at a Nathaniel

"Is everything fine?" Nathaniel asked

"Y-yeah. I'm just thinking," Isla tapped her temples, but looked back at Nathaniel, "I'm worried for her, Nathaniel."

"I'm worried for her as well. Waiting is the hardest part, but Katherine is a fighter," Nathaniel said, hugging her side

"Family of Marie Lynch?" A nurse asked, holding a clipboard in her hands

"Here!" Nathaniel yelled, jumping from his chair and running over to the nurse

"Sir, I can see your very anxious, but please don't yell," the nurse stated

"I'm sorry. But, can I know how my fiance is doing?" Nathaniel asked

"She's lost a lot of blood, but she's a fighter. The bad thing is that she is in a coma," She chuckle, "Oh and congratulations,"

"Congratulations for what?" Nathaniel asked, confused.

"On your fiance's pregnancy," She said, "I know it's a shock, but this a high risk as she was hit in the stomach. Well do everything in our control to help,"

"Thank you. Can I go see her?"
"She's on the 3rd floor, room 22," The nurse said, showing him a smile and then walking away

Nathaniel walked back to Isla, who was right behind him, making him jump.

"Jesus, Isla, warn me next time," Nathaniel breath out, his hand on his heart

"Sorry," Isla apologize, "We should go check on her," Nathaniel nodded

"She looks so tired," Nathaniel said, caressing Katherine's cheek.

"Her body took a toll, but I still can't believe she's pregnant," Isla said, looking at Katherine

"I'm still in shock. I'm going to become a father and Katheirne is going to become a mother, but I don't know if she wants to have a child," Nathaniel said, rubbing his face

"She was pregnant before, but she lost the child," Isla said

"She was?"

"Yes, she basically gave birth to the child when Ro found her," Isla recalled

"Now, what is she going to think about her being pregnant once again, " Nathaniel pulled at his hair

"We just have to wait. And this is her choice, we can't change her mind,"

"I know. I just want her to be healthy and to be in the right state of mind when she hears about the pregnancy," Nathaniel sigh, "This is too much to handle,"
