018: Spark of Interest

I woke up a lot more earlier today, since of course, I am now a neurosurgeon, In a prestigious hospital.

Today, I decided to visit Coffee bay to at least catch a small glimpse of my best friend, who is still waiting a year to graduate.

Yes, I was Cho Hee's senior, so I graduated earlier than her.

After debating on whether I should enter or not, early in the morning,the view infront of me answered it itself.

From the top glass window shield of the cafe, there peeked my sister and the prosecutor I admit thar I took a liking on.

I relieved a small sigh as thoughts came rushing through my brain,as they both spoke to one another.

What a small reason to worsen my day.

I peeked over Cho Hee,who was seemingly distracted by the dozens of customers rushing to the counter.

I didnt want to cause a frenzy,so maybe I'll just visit next time.

After a small moment of a seemingly suspicious conversation with Hong Joo,I headed for The prosecutors office with a cup of coffee on my hand.

Surprisingly,I crossed paths with Yoo Beom,as he popped right beside me and started to shot up a chatting session as I was practically trying to ignore him.

"Hey,You're looking good today."

"I was born with good looks."

"It seems like you're dating someone?"

"I sure am." He turned to me while walking,shook by my sudden answer.

"Wait, Seriously?"

"Yes, I am apparently committed to my cases."

"Ah, Your cases.." He seemed relieved as he walked ahead to the elevator, opening the elevator doors as the our other colleagues greeted him.

The others stepped down a little, making a space for Yoo Beom to fit in as I stare at them, waiting for the other one to come.

Yoo Beom was told to close the door but Instead, he looked at me with nudging eyes, "Get in."

"I'll just take the next one." I answered shortly,looking away as I transmitted that I didnt want to be in the same elevator as him.

"Just Get in,There's so much space here." He insisted, stopping the elevator door from closing again, " Please move a little more."

Despite the small complaints of our colleagues, he continued to disperse a space for me to fit on."Come on, Get in!"

"I have to relieve myself, Gosh." One said on the back, making me sigh in frustration at how Yoo Beom is literally trying to intimidate me early in the office.

"Hey, He has to go to the bathroom, just get in already!" He protested as I finally gave in, entering the elevator as I fill in to the space he made.

"Have you made any progress yet? Things got done so quickly back in my days, back then, It only took me one month to—"

"Enough, there are a lot of people here." I cut him off his mid-sentence as I looked back front, a lot more annoyed.

"....I got awarded for my performance as a prosecutor in a month, Was that an inappropriate thing to say in front of you all?" He turned back at the others as they immediately denied.

"Ah, You must've thought I was talking about a different kind of progress." He concluded.

"Is about.. Nam Hong Joo? or possibly, Nam Min Young?" He gave me a sly smirk as the elevator door opened, he bid goodbye to the others.

"Oh, If it's terms of that kind of progress, I was much more faster than you." He once again, turned around to face me with a smirk.

"You better step up your game," He advice, winking at me as he proceeded on walking to his office, making me scoff in annoyance.

"What progress, The kind that we're thinking of?" I heard a chatter behind mg back.

"It must be true, I heard rumors that he stole Mr. Lee's girlfriend."

"And apparently,he's also hitting up with Ms.Nam's sister,I heard she was a medical prodigy!"

"Are you serious?" Mr. Choi joined.

" I can hear everything." I announced,with a shot of monotone voice,Indicating that I was clearly unsatisfied.

"Since you heard us,you should give us an explanation." Ms. Moon argued.

"Such rumors always get out of hand if you don't do anything about them." Mr. Choi said.

"The more I try to give excuses, the more it will get out of control." I protested lifelessly.

My colleague clear her throat, getting ready to speak, " About Ms. Nam Hong Joo, and Ms. Nam Min Young, what at they like?"

"I don't know, please don't ask me."

"Hmm? Nam Hong Joo and Nam Min Young? The ones at Hong Joo samgyeopsal? They make great kimchi stew," Ms. Moon started "We'll be able to see them there, Have you been?"

"No not yet, But I've heard that they're both very pretty and intelligent" They continued.

"Pretty and Intelligent ,I wonder how she is, Would she be like Prosecutor Shin?"

"Gosh, of course not." I blurted out.

"Right, there will never be such rumors about Prosecutor Shin,"

"That's what I'm saying, she's considered as an good looking person when it comes to average people like us."

"Exactly, The Nam Sisters are totally in a different league."

"People like us wouldn't dare to compete with people like them,"

"Right, Mr. Lee told us about them, that they're definitely the hard to get type, totally a femme fatale style."

I choked on my coffee as soon as she finished, I turned to her with a furrowed eye brow.

"Sorry? What did you say? Femme.. what?"

"You know, those kind of women who attract and seduce men with their beauty and intelligence..."

I grimaced at the compliment turning back to elevator door as I thought of lots of things.

Hmm, Somehow, Both of them are getting interesting..
