TaiOur last period was surprisingly quiet. Well, just the guys sulking in the back. Most of em looked scared as hell. Makes me wonder if Rita did something.
We had a substitute today, a nice lady from the front office. Mr. Han had an important meeting to attend so he asked her to fill in last minutely.
"Is everyone okay with working on assignments from other classes? Your teach- I mean- the Principal was in a rush so he didn't exactly give me a planner." She smiled shyly.
So that's what we've been doing till now. And my dumbass has been stuck on this damn polynomial problem for a while. Hey, don't judge me it's been a while okay?! Not like I haven't been going around saving people or anything.
I turned to Ariah, "Yo can you help a gurl out? Kinda struggling here."
She sighed, putting her book down. The title had me annoyed.
"Hamlet? You've read that thing more than a hundred times already dude!" I rolled my eyes.
Honestly man, she's such a book worm! Since we were younger, if we weren't doing chores or training, you would always find Ariah in a tree somewhere with a book glued to her hands.
"It's a class assignment, bug off." She took my paper, examining it. "You got your signs wrong. The subtraction sign and the negative come together to make a positive. And your woksheet says -15 not -5, stop rushing and calmly look at the problem."
No way.
I snatched my paper back to double check. Sure enough, there was a fat -15 sitting on there.
I muffled a laugh. "I'd rather be out saving people. At least I know what I'm doing out there."
She shook her head, smirking before she turned back to her book.
Rita looked over at my paper, "What Math are you taking?"
"Algebra 2 Honors," I answered, my eyes focused on erasing the entire problem.
She cringed, "Ewwwww. Numbers. Not my forte."
"Not mine either, but at least I read things carefully before I answer." Ariah smirked at her stupid book.
I sneered. Smart ass.
RRIIIIINNNGGGGG.
"You've all been a good class for me to tend, thank you and have a nice day. Don't forget to lock up before you leave." We smiled watching her leave.
I stood up, packing my things.
Lila walked back to the guys, "You guys make your phone calls?"
"Yeah, why?" The Handsome Jihyo asked.
"Cuz you'll be AWOL as soon as you step foot outta this school." Lila said.
They exchanged nervous glances between themselves.
Rita walked over with her bag. "Think of it as a Black Op. You won't exist for the next few hours."
NamJoon looked curious. "But why-"
Fai stood up to look at him. "You wanna be safe or not?"
They nodded.
"Then shut up and follow us. Less talking more doing. Talking won't save you on a battle field." She instructed.
She didn't wait for a reaction, just dragged me to the door where Ariah was already waiting.
"C'mon Ariah, they have two feet they can get to the car on their own." Now she was dragging both of us.
