We walked in our last period of the day, still pumped from lunch. Thank the freaking goddess it was empty cuz Tai would not shut up about the feeling she had when she met her mentor.

"I'm telling you guys, it was exactly like you described. And not to mention he blacked out when he got to the nurses office." She was going nuts.

"Yes, Tai. Thank you for telling us that ... for the hundredth time."

Knowing the guys sit in the back left corner of the room, we decided to sit in the front right. As far away from them as possible.

Principal Han walked in shortly after.

"Ladies! How are you today?" He preened walking to his desk.

"Hello sir. We're fine. Just drained from a long day. " I yawned.

"Ah, understandable. High school years can be tough." He consoled.

"Uh, Principal Han. We actually wanted to talk to you about something." Lila walked to his desk.

"Sure. Go ahead." He neatly held his hands together on the polished desk.

"Well, it's about our mentors. None of us are actually comfortable with having a male around. We were raised to always keep a distance from them. Think of it as modesty." Lila was the perfect person for this, if it was any of us we'd hella fail. Let's not even consider me or Tai.

Mr. Han seemed amused. "Ahhh, I see. That's understandable as well and I couldn't agree with you more. But ..."

We leaned forward, anticipating his answer. "But?"

"I had specific orders from your relative to have those young men as your mentors. So it wasn't up to me, I promise." He held his hands up as if backing up.

A chorus of gasps echoed throughout the room.

What?! Why?!

"Sorry? Orders? For them specifically?" Lila clarified.

He only nodded. "I apologize for not having any other reason for you, but that is all that was on the email."

Lila shook her head, taking a seat next to me. "No, no it's okay. Orders are orders."

As if to end the conversation, the idiots walked in blaring some unknown music, dancing silly and laughing.

Mr. Han looked embarrassed shaking his head. "Gentlemen, is that a way to greet your teacher and fellow classmates?"

The silliness ceased immediately.

"O-oh. Sorry sir, we didn't realize anyone would be in here." The gangly-leader-ish one bowed first, the others followed suit.

Getting a closer look at him, he was actually good looking. Not bad at all. I especially loved his height and dimples. His facial structure was different from the others. Even the slant of his eyes seemed original.

Keep looking like that and it won't take long for you start drooling. I flinched at Rita's voice in my head. I absolutely hated when she did that.
