FaiI came back home tired as fuck. Both mentally and physically. I closed the front doors, making my way up the long ass staircase. My mind went back to the meeting I attended.
Flashback:
I was at the cafe where my mysterious partner for Environmental Studies asked me to wait last night.
The kind waitress brought over my caramel frappe with extra drizzle. (Cuz ya girl likes it sugar sweet ya know what I'm shhayyyin?)
I poked in my straw, ready to slurp my shnazzy dwink when someone sat down across from me.
Ugh. Now they wanna come? Aikae! (Eat shit!)
Slowly looking up, my annoyance turned to complete surprise when I found none other than Wonho himself sitting there, that sexy ass grin lighting up his Goddess sculpted face. "Hiya partner."
My expression never wavered. "You? You are P?! P?! P for what?!"
The grin got bigger. "P for Partner. Duhh!"
I slumped back in my chair, laughing with no emotion. "Wahh the Goddess is really testing my patience right now."
He chuckled, hands extended. "If it makes you feel better, I paid the cafe enough to feed a football team just for you. So you can get anything you want."
I shot right back up, happy again. "And this is why I've accepted you as a friend."
Calling the waitress over, I decided to test him on his word. He sat back, relaxing.
I ordered one of every pastry they had, and another frappe for him. She jotted it down, walking back to the kitchen.
Wonho laughed at me. "Still don't trust me aye?"
Instead of answering, I took a sip of my frappe, enjoying the way that shit slid down my dry throat.
He laughed again. "Wow. Okay."
I sat up, wiping my eyes. "Anyways, what are we gonna do for this project? Any ideas?"
His eyes lost all sense of humor, only a heavy sadness stayed in there now. "About that. . . that's not the real reason I called you out here for."
I sat up straighter, concerned. "Whaddya mean? Is something wrong? Are you okay?"
But instead of an answer, his face twitched in horror, looking somewhere behind me. "Fai get down!"
I knew better than to question some shit like that, my head hit the table the same time the glass window behind me exploded to shards. People were screaming and running away. There was a deafening ringing in my ears as Wonho jumped over the table, no doubt in combat.
There was a child crying on the floor, his mom bloody and unconscious.
I ran over to them, effortlessly picking her small body up before heaving her over my shoulder, using my free hand to guide the little boy. He cried but followed us to the kitchen where the staff was hiding.
They flinched in fear when I barged in, some whimpering. I gently lay the lady down before turning to them. "Help her please! Call an ambulance. Not the police. They won't believe what's happening out there it'll be a waste of your time. You understand right?"
