First and foremost, I love you. I’ve waited what seems like forever to hear you say those words (well, write them, really) and to be able to say them back. I’ve been a coward and regret not telling you as soon as I knew that you’d entirely stolen my heart. But I’m saying them now, and that’s what matters, right?

 

Writing those three words just once doesn’t seem to be enough to extinguish the fires sweltering deep in the pits of my being; I feel as though I could burst at any moment like a volcano that has been stewing and gurgling restlessly just below the surface for decades. I want to scream to the heavens, let everyone know that I, Niall James Horan, love you so much, Zayn Malik. I want to climb the Rockies, hell, even Everest and proclaim my love with a microphone and one of those cheesy planes that writes messages in the sky. You deserve the world, Zayn. I know you may not think so, but you do. In just the few months we’ve been conversing, I’ve seen you change from a criminal gangster into the sweetest, most caring man that has probably ever walked the face of this earth. (Except maybe Jesus. I never met the man, but I heard he was the shit way back when. Can I even say that, or is that bad? Huh, well I just said it, so fuck it I guess.)

I doubt I will ever be satisfied until I am able to tell you, and more importantly show you, how much I am infatuated with you in person. Alcatraz is a secure place, Zayn. You and I both know that the government has the place on high patrol 24/7, and even more guards are likely to be added with these threats. To say I’m not the least bit worried about you would be a lie, though. I’m always worried about you because I love you.

 

As you predicted, the media is having quite the field day, unfortunately. You’d think they’d have more pressing matters like the latest Neymar spotting or some shit. I’ll admit the dude is fit as fuck (not as sexy as you, though, dear; don’t worry), but really, who the fuck cares what he’s doing every second of every day? I’m sorry, but I really don’t need to know every time he takes a shit for fuck’s sake. But that’s not the point. What I was trying to say is that the paps are going fucking insane and they think you’re behind this. Fuck what everyone else thinks, though, because you and I know the truth. Whoever this xbyex person is will be caught and face an even worse punishment than your sentence in Alcatraz, I’m sure of it.

 

Stay safe, Zayn. Do what the guards ask, don’t take shit from the other prisoners. You’ll be okay. I love you.
