Sonic heard everything. He felt like he was in a trance where he couldn't move. The only thing he could hear was Tails's voice. Sonic tried to say something but he had a feeling the fox had already left. Sonic got up slowly looking around. A fire had been built for his comfort, to keep him warm. He knew Tails had been there. "Damn it!" He said hitting his hands on the ground and rising. "If I only thought I wasn't dreaming." Sonic paced around thinking of what Tails had said. "He has loved me for a while now......" Sonic blushed but not sure completely why. Sonic walked around looking for any possible evidence of where the fox could have gone. He searched around the shrubbary and noticed a fresh path full of broken twigs that led farther into the woods. He grabbed a stick with fire at the tip as to use for light. He noticed the half cresent moon and knew it had to be late at night. He started following the trail not sure where he was going. He knew he had to find Tails though.....he must find him. Sonic kept walking no trace of Tails until he came up to a tree with some bark ripped off of it. He inspected it and noticed a few drops of blood. He put the torch ahead of him to look for anything else to signify the fox had actually came through here. He noticed a puddle of blood fairly fresh on the ground. He also noticed a footprint like the ones at the beach. He knew Tails was here...and fairly recently. Sonic looked around not sure where the fox could have gone. He yelled the Fox's name. "Tails?!" "Tails?!" No reply but the crickets chirping. He decided he would just walk where it looked like the footprint was facing. He pushed branches and twigs out of the way. He stepoed over logs and other natural things. He stopped all of a sudden thinking he heard something. It was someone running. "Tails!" Sonic yelled dropping the torch that blew out. He began running towards the source of the sound hoping he could ketch up to the fox before he lost him. He finnaly got to the spot and stopped looking around. Nothing. He searched along the shrubbary for any clue. There was none. He just began walking not completely sure of where he was going. He yawned and put his arm up against a tree. "I need to rest." Sonic said to himself out loud he put his back up to the tree and shimmied his way down. He crossed his arms at the cold temperature. To keep him warm. He closed his eyes thinking of where the fox could have gone. "He could be anywhere!" Sonic thought to himself. "This forest spreads on for miles." He let out a sigh and tried just thinking of sleep. "If I'm gonna find Tails I'm gonna need all the energy I can muster." Sonic soon fell into a deep sleep quietly grunting at the uncomfortableness.
