Any Clue

"Tails! Tails!" Sonic yelled. The fox sped up faster leaping off into the sky. Sonic watched as the rain began to hit. Sonic saw thunder then lightning. "Oh Tails please come back." Sonic lost sight of the fox in the dark clouds. Sonic ran inside Tails's house to see if there was any clue as to where he was going. He looked at the note on the counter and read it. Sonic looked up worried. "He isn't coming back?" Sonic thought to himself. "He will be back, I'm sure of it." Sonic went back to the party opening the door. "I still can't believe he would say those things about--." Amy looked over. "Sonic your back! I thought you might have been out there forever with that reject." "Amy shut the hell up." Amy looked startled by the sudden rage in Sonic's voice. Sonic read Tails's letter. Everyone looked at each other.... except Amy. "Why should I care?" Amy said crossing her arms. "Because if he gets hurt out there you better believe this is the last time I'm speaking to you." Sonic said coldly. Amy looked offended. "Where did he go?" Sticks asked worriedly. "Dunno. He could be flying anywhere." Sonic said thinking. "He will be back in the morning, I'm sure if it." Amy said rolling her eyes. "I don't know." Shadow said thinking. "The faker might be right, Tails's letter seemed pretty straightforward about him never coming back." Knuckles had an idea. "Why don't we just ask Egghead tomorrow? He has cameras all over the island. "Good thinking Knuckles." Sonic said. "If he isn't back first thing in the morning we can go ask Eggface." "And what makes you think he will just let you use his equipment?" Sticks said. "I'll do his laundry for a week." Sonic said confidently. "Oh my. Yah that is pretty extreme. Even Eggman doesn't like doing his laundry." Sticks said pinching her nose and waving. "Well I said if it comes down to it. Tails's safety is priority one on my list." Sonic said walking to the door. Amy rolled her eyes. "Sonic where are you going?" "Uh I had yoga class to go to. Can't-miss it! Bye!" Sonic shut the door. "I didn't know he took yoga classes!" Amy said astonished. "That's cause the faker doesn't." Shadow said under his breath. Sonic ran to Tails's house to look for anything else that could help. Tails's drawers had been pulled all the way out of his dresser and stuff was scattered everywhere. "He was in a hurry." Sonic said observing the broken glass picture frames on the floor. Sonic had a sudden realization. "If he doesn't come back, I won't have my best friend." Sonic sat back at started getting teary-eyed. He fought back the tears. "The whole world knows that Tails is gay now and that he had a crush on me." Sonic said to himself. He thought back at the last part of what he just said. "Wait Tails said he liked me? Like  how Amy likes me?" Sonic looked down at the ground confused. "I wish I would have known. If he would have been able to tell me none of this would have happened." Sonic said full of guilt. Sonic picked up one of the broken frames and stared at the picture of him and Tails with their thumbs up at the camera. Sonic put it back down and looked around at all the mess. Sonic hated it. Tails always kept his house neat and clean. It wasn't like him to leave his house like this. Sonic walked over to the couch and lay on it. Thinking of all the places Tails could have gone. "He said he never would be seen again......." Sonic shot up. "He is going to island bluff." No one goes there because of the horrible weather." He sat back down. "No cause he took his plane and he couldn't land it there." Sonic  kept throwing ideas around in his head until he started to doze off. Before Sonic knew it he was fast asleep.
*Dream*
Sonic looked over at Tails. He was smiling. Something  suddenly frightened him. Sonic tried to look behind himself but couldn't move. Tails backed up and had tears running down his face. All of a sudden a gunshot is heard. Tails has a bullet holes wound in his chest. Two more shots fire off hitting their target directly again. Sonic tries reaching out for the poor fox. Tails looks at Sonic and says something Sonic can't hear before falling to the ground. He was Dead.
Sonic woke up and looked at his clock. It was 11:39. There was thunder booming outside with sudden flashes of light. Sonic got up and closed the curtains. He went back to the couch and laid back down. He got comfortable again and slowly fell back into a deep sleep.
