To End It All

After that day Sonic and Tails decided to let it down easily to the others. When they said both they really meant Sonic. If Tails showed his face in town they both couldn't know for sure how the town would take it. Sonic wrote a letter to Amy. The others were surprised indeed but mostly accepted that it was fact and not fiction. Amy though, Sonic couldn't be sure. He wrote the letter that night and sent in the mail the next morning. Unsure of what the pink hedgehog might say. That afternoon Amy opened the letter which said,
Dear Amy,
It took me awhile to find Tails, heck it took me days to find him and I must say that you were in the wrong about him. He is the most kindest, light-hearted, beautiful creature to be bestowed upon us. ( The team.) I took the offer and ran with it. What I'm trying to say Amy is me and Tails are together. I never had feelings for you beyond friendship and I think you should realize it. Nothing can separate me from the love of my life. Tails. Now I hope we can put the past behind us and continue on with our friendship.

Sonic hadn't heard anything from Amy and he didn't expect to any time soon. He had what he wanted and cared most dear for though. Tails. Tails also had what he wanted and that was Sonic. They ended up moving into Tails's place and spent their time with each other as a couple as much as they could. The town was still a little bit unsure about the whole relationship but was happy to have their blue hedgehog back. Tails and Sonic planned the for the future and what it would bring, whether sorrow, pain, or joy they would have each other and that's all they needed to get through.
