"Aliyah!!" I heard my mom's voice calling from downstairs. I groaned rolling off my bed. I sighed as I dragged my body to the bathroom.
"Aliyah!!" she calls again
"I'm up Ma" I yelled rolling my eyes as I made my way to the bathroom. She's like my personal alarm. I turned on the shower while I took my pajamas off. I had college in a few hours and I was supposed to go look at some apartments today because I can't take another minute with my mom. I love her and all but she's so fucking annoying. After I was finish showering I brush my teeth then got ready. I live in the New York so its really hot so I went with something simple. A loose white top with the words SELFIE on it and a pair a rip black jeans with a pair of sandals. I made my bed and then grab my purse and phone running downstairs.
"Goodmorning to my college baby" my mom greeted
"Mom can you stop. I've been going to college for six months now" I said
"I know sweety but I'm just really proud of you" she said moving a piece of my hair out my face.
"I guess I can't be mad about that" I smiled and she chuckled
"Here you go sweety" she said putting my breakfast infront of me. She made blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. I immediately began stuffing my face. If you ever taste my mom food you'll understand why.
"So you and Jade going to look at the apartments today" she asked and I nodded
"I'll have a roommate mom so don't worry" I assured her
"I know baby but I don't want you to leave" she frowned
"Mom I'm 19 I can't stay with you forever" I sighed
"Who said that?" she asked. I gave her the really mom look and she held her hands up in surrender.
"shit" I said jumping up looking the time
"Thanks for breakfast mom but I gotta go Jade is waiting for me. love you" I said kissing her cheek grabbing my purse and keys running out the house to see my friend sitting in her red 2014 Honda Accord.
"Finally" she mumbled as I got in the car
"shut up" I laugh putting on my seatbelt
"Watever but where we going?" she asked looking up from her phone
"I have new apartments to look at today. I really hope I get one of them because my mom is starting to annoy me" I said honestly
"Auntie Ava is not annoy" she laughs driving off.
"That's because you don't live with her" I mumbled. She hummed and turn on the radio and John Legend All of Me blasted out the speakers. I rest my head against the window lightly humming to the song.

"Did you get them?" Jade asked as I tried calling the girl for the apartment but wasn't getting no answer.
"No" I sighed running my hand through my curly hair.
"Fuck them then because we've been here for an hour and they still not answering their phone." she said driving off
"yea I guess" I mumbled taking my phone out my pocket going on instagram since I haven't been on there in awhile because of Uni.
"We're here" I heard Jade said. I looked up and look out the window to see the apartment building. It looks really nice and the area was really quiet so that's a good thing. I smiled crossing my fingers then getting out the car. We walked in the building amazed on how good inside looks. It had a doorman and all that. We took the elevator up to the third floor after the lady at the front desk checked if anyone was home.
"There it is" Jade pointed at the door 3A. It took us awhile since we came up on the side.
"Finally" I sighed. It was really a long walk. I walked up to the door and knocked.
"That soft ass knock" Jade said then banged on thr door. It open fast as fuck. We jumped back when we say a tall guy with a towel hanging loosely on his hips and water dripping down his body. He had a lot of tattoos over his upper body. I tried hard not to stare.
"What" he said in a deep voice snapping me out my thoughts.
"um sorry about that um I'm here took look at the apartment" I stuttered under his cold glare.
"Symone get ya ass out here" he yelled then turned around and gave us one last glance the walked back inside. Then a light skin girl about my height or shorter came to the door.
"Sorry about him, he's an asshole but come in" she said moving out the way then we followed her.
"Alright I'm Symone and your Aliyah right" she said and I nodded
"yea and this is my friend Jade" I said anf they gave eachother a little wave.
"Alright um let me go show you the room and then we'll go on from there" she said then grabbed my hand pulling me with her.
"ok so this is the bedroom and the bathroom is right next door" she pointed through the bedroom door showing me the bathroom. "My room is right next to yours so we share a bathroom" she smiled. She's really friendly!
"Its really big and I like it" I smiled
"I figured you would" she smiled back
"so how much-" she cut me off
"its $500 monthly but you can give like$150 a week" she smiled. It wasn't expensive so that's good
"That's great so did I get it" I asked
"of course" she smiled
"not to get in your business or anything but does he live here too our is he your boyfriend" I asked
"Hell no. He's best friend and yes he does live here but he's never around so he won't bother you" she explained. I'm really glad about that because he looks really scary.
"Ok. I'll start moving tomorrow because I've Uni in a few hours" I said
"That's ok" she said them we walked back to the living room
"Alright so I'll see you tomorrow then right"
"yea" I nodded
"Jade" I called her because she had her headphones in
"What?" she asked
"I'm done" I said and she nodded getting up.
"I'll see you tomorrow" Symone said walking us to the door
"It was nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too" she said pulling me into a hug. I looked up from her shoulder to see the guy staring at me but when he saw I was looking he looked away. If I wasn't scarred before I'm defiantly scarred now.
"Bye" I said after we pulled away from the hug. She waved then went back inside
"Was it nice?" Jade asked ad we got into the elevator
"Yea but that guy scarred me"
"Yea he looked a little creepy bit he's sexy though" she laughed
"A little creepy is a understatement" I frowned
"He seemed to like you though"
"How can you tell when he was glaring at us" I asked as we walked out the elevator
"He kept staring" she shrugged opening the car. I rolled my eyes and hopped in the car but something about him made me want to get to know him. He seem so mysterious.
