Chapter 1

Aliyah's Pov

"I'm going to miss you sweetie" Mom said after we finish moving everything in the truck.

"Mom I live 15 minutes from you so don't worry" I assured her

"Alright fine but you better call me everyday" she said pointing her finger at me

"I'll mom. Love you" I said and kiss her cheek

"love you too" she said as I got in the car with Jade

"You ready for this" Jade asked

"I think so" I said. I looked out the window at the house. Ever since my dad left my mom as never want me to leave. l know she's lonely but I'll still be here just a few minutes away.

"she was crying last" I sighed

"Like the time she cried for a whole week when we started college" Jade laughed at the memory.

"yea my mom have issues" I laughed

"So any thoughts on your new roommate" she said wiggling her eyebrows

"No" I lied. Honestly he wouldn't leave my thoughts last night. He was so mysterious and he kept staring at me did something to me. Mom always told me not to mess with guys like that but he me interest me.

"You're lying" she said pulling over behind the truck.

"Okay fine but it doesn't matter anyways"

"Why is that?" she ask getting out the car with me behind her.

"He's not my type" I shrugged

"Hey you want us to start moving the boxes upstairs" the guy asked and o nodded as they began moving everything out the truck. I grab the box that marked personal items.

"Who are you talking to?" I asked ad we got into the elevator

"Chris" she smiled

"My idiot brother" I asked

"yea" she blushed

"Why you talking to him?" I asked confused since they broke up before we move here

"I thought you was mad at him" I.said as I knocked on the door

"Yea but we started talking again but its nothing serious"

"yea ok"

"Hey" Symone said as she opened the door

"Good morning" I smiled and Jade gave her a wave

"Come in" she said and we followed behind her

"Do you need any help" she asked and I shook my head no. We went to my new room and started pack my things out as the movers move in my furniture.

After I was done packing my things out and putting everything in my room Symone went out to get a spare key and food. Jade went home because she had a big test coming up so she had to study. So I was here by myself... I think. I decided to go into the living  room and catch on my studies. When I got there it was really quiet so I guess I'm the only one here. After I finish studying I decided to get a bottle water from the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen and grab the water as I was about to leave the guy came out of nowhere. He had on a hat and a black v-neck shirt with basketball shorts.

"Um h-hi" I choked out still frozen in place.

"What's up" he said in a low deep voice. I was still frozen in place as he stared at me.
