Chapter 6

Aliyah

When we got home it was just 7:00 so I had a hour and a half to get ready before my classes start. August wasn't too thrilled about bringing me so he said if I wasn't ready in a hour he's not going to bring me, so I took a shower and got dress in a white tank top with a pair if bleached shorts and a black and red plaid shirt around my waist with black vans. My hair was puffy from last night so I washed it and put it in a messy bun with a red bandanna around my head.  I was applying some mascara when I heard someone banging on my door.

"Its open" I yelled. I was so busy applying mascara I didn't notice August standing watching me.

"Why you putting all that black stuff on your eye?" he questioned

" I like it" I shrugged putting them back in my purse

"When you go blind you won't like it no more" he said with his heavy accent.

"I've been using this since I was 15 and I haven't gone blind, soI won't go blind now" I said

"Whatever lets go" he said walking out. I grab my bag following him. We got to his car and he drove off blasting music I couldn't understand. The ride was silent most of the time until he broke the silence.

"Did you like the party?" he ask

"What do you think?" I asked and he chuckled

"Yea you seemed to enjoy the pool" he smirked

"shut up but I met Rodney and he was a highlight of my night" I smiled thinking about him.

"What y'all dating are something?" he ask 

"No we were talking and it was actually better than being at the party"

"Oh"

"what?"

"Nothin" he sighed

"It wasn't like I could talk to you. You're mean then your somewhat nice so your confusing but Rodney his just simple someone you can have a conversation with" I shrugged

"You can't have a conversation with me?" he ask looking at me through his shades

"Are you really asking me that" I laughed

"Ight I'm not the easy person to talk to but I can have a good conversation"  he said

"If you say so."

"Do I have to prove it to you"

"No I really don't care because you'll just go back to your obnoxious self again so I rather just have you hating me" I said honestly

"I don't hate you" he whispered but I heard him

"If you say so." I shrugged

"I'm serious." He said and I nodded

"Thanks for bringing me" I said grabbing my purse

"yea yea get out" he said

"There's the August we all know and hate" I smiled hopping out closing the door

"You got jokes huh" he smiled

"Nope I was being honest" I winked through up the deuces walking in the building.

I walk in my sophomore Biology class, only a few people was in the class showing that I was early. There was a girl sitting at the back so I decided to sit next to her.

"Where is everyone?" I ask and she smiles.

"Ditching or trying to do last minute assignments to make it here on time" she chuckled.
