It was around 10:00, and Rose was freaking out. She had to sit down to rethink the past events of her life. First, her parents died a dramatic death because of some sort of illness, which she also caught and somehow survived. Then, she was left to be taken care of by an all-boys private high school, which she was expected to attend at get perfect grades. From there, she met all new friends and two amazing guys (Todd and Neil), which at the moment she wasn't sure which one she wanted to pursue because she had feelings for both of them. After that, she was hit on by her Latin teacher who told her that in order to get an A she had to "do stuff for him". Then she met this crazy teacher who was kinda of wonderful. And now she was sneaking out with a large group of boys, into the woods, in a cave. Cause that seems safe.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" was all she could hear in her head at the moment. She had to calm herself somehow, but how? Then she remembered the trick her mother had taught her as a young girl when she would get upset.
"CALM, think of something that you love that starts with each letter," said her mother knowingly.
"C could be... cookies! A could be... Autumn! L could be... Lambs! And M could be you!" responded a young Rose Buffay.
"Perfect! Now just think of this the next time you are overwhelmed or angry" smiled her mother.
Rose would find this technique to be very helpful in many times in her life, and right now was one of them. She sat herself down and repeated, "Cookies, Autumn, Lambs, Mom." For some reason as silly as it may be this always helped her relax. Just then she heard a light knock at her door.
"It's me, Neil, can I come in?" he asked.
Rose grinned, " Of course!" she ran over to open the door. There was Neil standing there, handsome as ever. Rose smiled and sighed, she could get used to the sight of him.
"You might be a little cold, just wearing your dress," Neil said, looking down at her.
Rose quickly snapped out of her daze, "Yeah, I'm going to put an extra petticoat on, and I'll wear my cloak," she replied. "Make yourself comfortable!" Rose said. Neil sat down on her bed and began to study her room. It was not much larger than his own, the only major difference was that it included a small bathroom. He noticed the pictures on the wall of her parents and some others of what he assumed to be where her old friends. In the wall opposite her bed, was alone bookshelf containing classic books such as the Great Gatsby, and Macbeth. Rose was rummaging around in her clothing trunk until she found what she was looking for. It was a navy blue skirt like covering that tied around her waist. Once she pulled the heavy layer over her dress, she needed help with the tie. Neil saw this and jumped up to help her, like the true gentlemen he is.
" Let me help you there," said Neil taking the ties behind her, he then gently wrapped them around her waist and tied them into a bow.
"Thanks" muttered Rose, who was quite taken back by his actions.
"Anytime" replied Neil.
Rose then grabbed her cloak, draping it over her shoulders, "Shall we, Mr. Perry?" asked Neil in a British accent.
Neil smirked, "Yes, we shall!"
They then ran to catch up with the other group, everyone was waiting in the common area.
"What took you guys so long?" questioned Meeks.
" Where you guys, you know.." Winked Charlie. "Cause we can make it a three-person thing you know," he said mischievously.
"God damn it, Charlie! Grow up, for godsakes!" defended Neil. Rose looked at the floor she was so embarrassed!
" We can chat later, let's move before we get caught!" warned Pitts.
