Clarith's POV
After getting all our stuff for Hogwarts, Harry had to go back to his family with Hagrid. We all gave him our farewells, and said that we'd meet up at him when he gets to Hogwarts.
"See ya, Harry!" I waved off. "We'll see you again in school!"
Harry nodded his head earnestly. "Yeah! I'll see you guys then!"
After this dramatic farewell party, me and the others went back to 'The Three Broomsticks' to find out where we are going to sleep and how we are going to get food until school starts.
"We could go dumpster diving," Klive suggested with a mouthful of food. "Like on that TV show War on Waste."
"Ew. Gross," Julianne rejected with a shiver. "There ain't no way I'm going in a dumpster."
Luke shrugged. "Me and Jimmy could do it," he said.
"Jimmy and I," Riliane corrected with a scowl. "And would the food even be safe to eat?"
"Probably," Klive stated. "I mean, we are helping the environment right? Millions of grown products are wasted because of how they look and they're just thrown away to rot. For example; banana farms waste about two million bananas just by the way they have grown. Totally not sponsored by War on Waste."
I was impressed. "How do you even know this stuff?"
"Because we had that one English lesson that we don't talk about..." he answered with a shrug. "So, are we gonna dumpster dive?"
"Maybe," I conceded. "Any clue where we'd live?"
The group sat silent for a few seconds.
"We could live in the dumpster," Hanz proposed.
"No way in Hell," I shot down. "Any ideas, Riliane?"
Riliane adopted a thoughtful look on her face. "What about that Madam Malkin lady?"
Rose nodded. "Yeah, she seemed nice."
Klive looked skeptical. "I dunno guys. Maybe we camp out in a Church? I mean, it's England, there's bound to be one somewhere."
"Or a homeless shelter," Jimmy added.
I nodded. "True, true."
Torian looked uncomfortable with the idea. "Would it be safe for us to sleep near a bunch of old guys? Like, you boys would be fine, but we're girls."
"Okay, no homeless shelter," I said. "That crosses that off the list."
"Hmm," Paris hummed. "What about a beach?"
"A beach?" Torian questioned.
"Yeah," Paris affirmed. "I mean, no one would question a bunch of kids at the beach, would they?"
"That's... surprisingly smart of you," I admitted. "Plus, no one's at the beach at night, are they? No one would see us."
"We'd freeze though, wouldn't we?" Julianne put in.
"Yeah," Rose agreed. "I don't like the sound of it."
"Fiiiiine," Klive moaned. "No homeless shelter and no beach. That just leaves... what? Going to Madam Malkin's place or to a Church."
I shivered. "I don't know about you guys, but I don't think I could stand living with a bunch of religious people 24/7. I've got nothing about them, but I don't think I could live with them."
