Chapter 19: Embrace...

After the couple left the refreshing waters, they lay side by side on their towels, allowing themselves to dry off naturally while still trying to acquire a tan of sorts. as they relaxed beside each other, their hands would gently touch one another, just the feeling of their hands connecting was enough to make a smile form on their faces, they couldn't be happier. or so they thought.

Mei started up at the blue, cloudless sky. she was wondering where Sho and Ume were, they didn't see them at breakfast this morning, she hoped they were ok. Yuzu looked over at Mei and smiled gently, she tugged Mei's hand gently.

"Hey, everything ok?" Yuzu asked softly, she looked really cute as she lazily lay on the towel. Mei nodded, trying hard to contain her soft laughs as she looked at Yuzu.

"I'm fine, Yuzu. Just wondering where Mama and Papa are"  Mei admitted not wanting to worry Yuzu. Yuzu nodded before springing to her feel and collecting her stuff.

"Let's go have a look around, see if we can spot them" Yuzu playfully ordered, Mei gave a mocking salute before giggling and collecting her own stuff. after they had packed up everything and put on their t-shirts, they made a move for the town next to the resort.

as the duo wandered around, they couldn't help but exchange some playful chatter about home and how friends would react to such a beautiful place, to which Yuzu gasped and pulled out her camera that she had remembered within her bag. Mei laughed softly as she saw the camera, but Yuzu smiled in a delightful way.

"I thought we could take some pictures together as a couple!" Yuzu exclaimed excitedly, Mei thought about it before giggling softly and nodding. Yuzu smiled proudly to herself as she followed Mei around, every now and then snapping a picture of an unsuspecting Mei. how did she manage to stay looking beautiful even when not trying? Yuzu's heart fluttered with joy, she sighed happily, she got far too lucky when it came to finding a partner within Mei.

Mei turned to see Yuzu trying to snap another picture which caused her to cover her mouth with her hand as she began to blush, Yuzu's heart skipped a beat as she took the picture. did she seriously just become so much more attractive by being shy?

"Y..yuzu, have you been taking pictures this whole time?" Mei asked quietly, to which Yuzu nodded with a soft smile.

"I couldn't help it, you looked so beautiful with some of the towns backdrops!" Yuzu smiled happily as she got close to Mei, once by her side she began to show her some of the pictures. Mei blushed but couldn't help but smile, did Yuzu really think that she was that beautiful she had to take random pictures of her? Mei laughed softly before handing the camera back to her girlfriend, Yuzu smiled wrapping her arm around Mei's as they walked arm in arm.

The young couple wandered, occasionally taking pictures together, some regular pictures, some kissing, some sweet ones and some for some personalised postcards for their friends back home.  Mei couldn't get over how much fun she was having on this trip, as she walked around with her lover, she felt as if they were the only two on the island and that made her happy.

Yuzu tried her best to keep Mei away from a certain district in town where Ume and Sho were helping with setting up the scenery for tomorrows big event. the wedding of the two most important girls in their life.

Yuzu and Mei looked around for a few hours, taking a bus to visit a few local attractions before heading home as the sun began to set.

after being home for about half an hour, Ume and Sho walked through the front door holding a few bags with what smelt like food in them. Mei and Yuzu sat up on the couch to see their parents coming in.

"Guys, we are home!" Ume called out, not seeing the couple on the couch. Sho chuckled and indicated to the couch, Ume turned her attention to see Mei and Yuzu sat up, they looked like they had been caught doing something, Ume couldn't help but laugh. "I got food" Ume spoke softly as she lead everyone to the dining area. everyone gathered around the table as Ume set everyone's food out for them to dig into.

"Sooo, where were you guys all day?" Mei asked softly as she sat down in front of the meal that Ume had laid out for her, she was only curious due to the fact she hadn't seen them both all day.

"Well, after waking up we decided to visit a few beaches around the island before going out for lunch" Sho lied, Mei could tell something was up by the way he spoke, even when he stopped by that one time a year ago he wasn't this relaxed.

The dinner was quiet, each person chatting to their partner about their days and such. occasionally speaking to everyone else about stuff that had happened through the course of the day, it wasn't too long before Ume suggested they all get an early night as she had plans for them all tomorrow, Yuzu complied quickly and dragged Mei along to their bedroom, Mei was confused as to what the plans were, but Yuzu simply turned to face her with a soft smile.

"It must be pretty far across the island if we are recommended to get some sleep this early" Yuzu spoke rather unconvincingly, almost as if she knew. not only that but the way Yuzu had structured her sentence had given it away that she was in on it, Mei rolled her eyes and let out a soft giggle as she stripped herself in front of Yuzu, Yuzu followed suit and stripped herself before climbing into bed happily. when Mei got into bed with Yuzu, her heart began to race, she turned to face her girlfriend and planted a sweet, passionate kiss on her lips in hopes that it would calm her heart rate. her heart rate did slow down shortly after, as her heart rate returned to normal, a smile formed on her lips, she lay her head on Yuzu's chest before closing her eyes before drifting off to sleep.
