"Looks like you kept your promise," he said.
I stepped back and nodded, wiping away my tears.
"I've brought you your dinner," I said as I went back and grabbed the tray. I carried it as carefully as I could with my shaky hands.
"Good. I'm getting a little hungry. Did you make it?"
"Yes, in fact, I did." Now was the tricky part. How was he going to eat?
"You can hold the bowl in one hand and feed me with the other. Milky will get mad if I break out of my chains now. Or if he found you feeding me," he laughed.
I blushed. "M-Me? F-Feed you?" He nodded. To add on, he opened his mouth wide, thus closing his eyes, waiting for me to put a spoon in it. It was embarrassing, but it was what had to be done.
I set the tray on the floor and picked up the bowl and spoon, shakily. I dipped the spoon into the soup, lifted it, and blew softly to cool it. Finally, I rested it in his mouth. He closed, pulled back, chewed, and swallowed.
"Wow... That was really good!" he sighed. He opened his eyes and smiled at me. I blushed a little more.
"R-Really...?" I asked. He nodded and opened his mouth for more. So I did the same process as before.
We went on until the bowl was empty. It was quiet, and slightly awkward, but to my surprise... I felt like I... like I enjoyed it. But for the entire time, I couldn't look at his eyes. It was too much to bear. If I look one more time, everything might spill out...
I helped him drink his last sip of water and I set the cup back onto the tray. I went to pick up the tray and say my goodbyes, but he stopped me.
"Wait a moment, will you?" he pleaded. I set the tray next to the door and walked back to his hanging body.
"Yes?"
"Let me see your back." I panicked a little.
"Why would you want to see that?"
"I want to see what they've done to you and rest my suspicions. This is an order, as a Zoldyck." He was staring at me sternly. So, I only nodded and turned, pulling up the back of my red top, showing him my scars. I heard nothing for a moment, then I pulled my top down again and I faced him. His face was dark and he was looking at the ground.
"Look, Killua, d-don't worry about it, okay? They're just scars. I'll say they're war wounds, hehe..." I joked.
"I..." he started, looking down once again. Then, he suddenly looked up and continued.
"I just want to tell you how much you mean to me. You've gone through so much because of me and I never even told you 'thank you' because I've been so selfish and I took you for granted. I never want to do that again... I feel terrible..." He hung his head again and I saw a tear fall. Then another.
"I swear, you cry more than me, you big baby! G-Guess I have no choice but to cheer you up!" He looked up with confusion in his eyes.
Now, I'm not one to talk about feelings, but I couldn't help it anymore. I had to let go of what I was feeling, and this was the best way I knew how to release it.
