"Welcome applicants. I am Menchi, the Second Phase examiner," said the green haired lady sitting on a throne.
"And I'm Buhara, the other examiner," said the huge man sitting behind Menchi. We walked into the huge cooking lab to stand in front of the examiners. Suddenly, a huge rumble came from in front of us. Murmurs floated around.
"You must be hungry, Buhara," Menchi said.
"I'm staaaarving..." he replied.
Menchi stood. "There you have it! Phase Two shall involve... cooking!"
More murmurs spread across the yard.
'Cooking? How's that supposed to help us become Hunters?' I thought. People around me voiced the same thoughts.
"We're here to become Hunters!" yelled a guy from the front.
"That's quite right," replied Menchi. "For the Second Phase, you must create a dish that will satisfy our palate."
More shouts came from around the yard.
"Why should we have to cook!?" yelled one.
"We are Gourmet Hunters."
There was silence. Then the room busted out laughing.
"So, Gourmet Hunters, what are we supposed to make?" said the same voice as before.
"The required ingredient is pork!" interrupted Buhara. Everyone quieted down now, the laughter gone. "You're free to use any species of pig in the Biska forest. You must use the cooking facilities here to prepare it. And, you only pass if we both find it delicious."
"And," added Menchi, "we will evaluate more than just taste. Don't underestimate the intricacies of cooking. Once we've both eaten our fill, the test will end."
"Well then, the Hunter Exam's Second Phase will now... Begin!" Buhara hit his belly and a loud boom sounded from it. Everyone raced to the door. I had an idea already in my mind as to what to make. I'm pretty sure that everyone was going to do the same thing, which was the easiest thing. I decided to do something that was a bit harder, but still different from everyone else. I searched for the pigs with Gon's group.
"Catch a pig and cook it, hunh? This is way easier than the first exam," said Leorio.
"Let's hope it'll be that way," replied Kurapika.
All of a sudden, I felt a stomp with my feet. I tapped Killua's shoulder to stop him and took off my boot. Everyone stared at me. I sniffed and felt the ground with my foot. I pointed to our right. I slid my boot back on and jumped onto the hill's steep slope, sliding down. Then, I tripped over my own foot and tumbled down the rest of the way, landing on my butt at the bottom.
"AAAAH! LOOK OUT!" yelled a voice. I turned to see who it was and I got head-butted by a guy with tall green hair.
"Oooow..." I grumbled. Then, he SNIFFED me!
"You smell like a fresh breeze..." he murmured. I blushed at the compliment and closed my eyes. I couldn't respond to that because there was another body that collided into Gon, making him and I even closer! And another. And another! My cloak was stuck under Gon's butt so I couldn't get up. We were so close now, people could say that we were kissing! I couldn't take it anymore-
"Found them!" I stopped struggling for a second and looked over to see a herd of pigs with very large noses chomping on... BONES!?
"Uh... They're chewing on... bones?" said Leorio. "Wait... They're carnivores!?" At that, the pig closest to us crushed its bone and started stamping its hoof. That was bad news!
