Asriels p.o.v After that one night she asked me that question, she seemed to be.. off. I mean, I know she Chara, very unpredictable.. but She wasn't participant, or interested in things as she was before. Sure she didn't smile much to begin with, but now it was always a blank face.. and she seemed to be taking a step back.. observing things.
I asked her what was wrong, and she only said she wanted to know how to improve herself.. to be 'worthy', or 'useful.' I was confused at this statement.
'Prove she's worthy? What for? Doesn't knowing that we love her enough?'
Of course even though she wasn't her usual self, she's never turn down a chance to go get some hot cocoa in snowdin.
I had asked her why she wasn't so 'charaish' now, and why she felt the need to observe and compare things now.
She just turned away and chugged her cocoa viscously. Then she mumbled something like,
"Because I feel like I'm not enough for you az.." her face turned red for a moment andshecoughed.
"Err, not enough for the family.."
Not enough..? Oh dear.. she really doesn't know most the story does she..?
Some days she was invested, then some days she realized she was enjoying herself, and stopped. Why was she preventing herself from having fun? She was really acting up.. and she began scaring me when she pushed me away again..
"Chara? Can you please tell me what's bothering you? It's concerning me and I just want to help.."
"Not now Azzy.."
"But.. please chara, I only want to he-"
"GOSH CAN I EVER GET A BIT OF PRIVACY? NOT EVERYONE WANTS FREE HELP ASRIEL. SOME PEOPLE WANT TO EARN IT FOR GOODNESS SAKE."
I was startled, and stepped back. Her eyes met mine, and told anger and frustration in them. I could feel tears well up in my eyes, she bit her lip and turned her back on me.
"Please Azzy.. just leave me alone for now.. I don't want to hurt you.."

I nodded and walked away. I've never seen her so mad before.. her eyes looked so scary. I kept my distance that day from her, and she returned back to normal the next day. As if nothing happened.
But something did happen. Something IS bothering her. And I'm determined to find out so I can help her through it, whether she likes it or not.
The next day, I began to plan a trip. Sort of a picnic for chara and I in the ruins. It was cover in buttercups, and she loved those yellow flowers. That should cheer her up right?
