~1 YEAR LATER~

Jay's POV

Tonight I was stuck babysitting Cheyenne. She was an adorable little girl. Her birthday was four months ago.

But I haven't seen Zach in over a year. I really miss him! I wear my ring everyday.

My mom and Jeremy were out of town visiting my grandpa. We lost her a month before Cheyenne was born.

My grandpa was moving in the nursing home four minutes away from us.

I set Cheyenne down in her crib to sleep and went to the couch in the living room.

I pulled out my laptop and calling Zach on FaceTime.

After three rings he picked up.

"Hey gorgeous!"

"Hi cutie! How's England?"

"It's cold. How's home?"

"Lonely. What's happening with everyone?"

"Haley moved back to Oregon to be with her parents and now the bakery is closed."

"That's a bummer. I miss everything so much! How's jeany?"

"She's a straight A student."

"Awesome! Don't leave me hanging! How's everyone else?"

"Jason and Hope are going out now. Dustin and Marie are a happy couple and are thinking about marriage and kids. But they want you to come to their wedding so they're putting that off, but want kids still. Justin is in College. In California."

"Really, I never thought he would want to go!"

"Neither did we. But now we have two open rooms in the house."

I looked down and Cheyenne started crying.

"I need to go," I said.

"I love you Jay."

"I love you too."

I hung up and Sparky followed me up the stairs to the nursery.

I picked her up and burped her. She kept crying and I changed her diaper. Still crying. I fed her, rocked her, sang to her. She finally stopped I went to my bed.

I just sat there thinking. What if this is a mistake? What if I never see Zach again? What if he finds someone new?

I went to bed. Tomorrow was the last day of me senior year. I was going to the University of Texas. Even though I wanted to go to college in England my mom wouldn't let me.

I cried myself to sleep again tonight with Zach on my mind.
