I'M BACK PEOPLE!
I know I know its been forever, like 5-6 months but I'm still here and still writing. This one shot is based of a pin I found and it made me cry( I had the idea of this before the trailer for HTTYD 3 came out, so pretend that never happened):

Hiccups POV
My life has been almost perfect. Sure, we face some bad people who may or may not be deranged, but who cares. I have my best friend, my lovely wife and 2 beautiful children. And it changed for the better about 3 weeks ago when we found a herd (A/n what do you call a a lot of dragons?)of Nightfury's.

Hiccups POV
"Good morning Stella, do you,want some fish?". The baby nightfury gurgled signalling a yes. I gave the tiny dragon some fish and went to go and find Toothless." Hiccup. There you are.". Astrid said breathless." What happened, are you ok."." Oh, I'm fine. But Sphen's sheep aren't. One of the teenage Nightfurys decided to start terrorising some sheep and now they are frozen.". I just looked at her. Ever since I became chief 9 years ago, Astrid has been my second half. Meaning she can make a declaration on my behalf." Well, don't just stand there. Do something.". She yelled at me." Ok ok, I'm going.".

Astrid POV
3 weeks. 3 weeks this has been going on. I have had to step up and act like the actual chief because Hiccup has been to obsessed with all the new night fury's and is now barely doing his job. I have tried tell him but no, HE JUST WONT LISTEN! I even had to get Gobbers help seeing as he had to go through Stoick but nothing.

After going to tell Hiccup about the sheep I went to Stormfly to go for a fly." Hey girl, want to go for a  quick spin?". I asked her. She replied in the only way dragons can," Scwark!". I jumped on her back and we shot up into the air. Flying sets me free from children, duties and Hiccups rants. Yes I love him but I feel like I'm 2nd. I have the smaller half of his heart. Our wedding day was the third most happy I have seen him. Order:
1. When the herd of Night fury's was found
2. When our 2 girls were born
3. Our wedding day

I needed to confront him and this time have all of his attention, not half.

Time skip to night

I was sitting in front of the fire pit on our hut when Hiccup came through the door." Your home late...again."." Yeah...um I had to sort out that sheep problem you told me about."." I told you that this morning. What have you been doing all day?". He stood there for a while not wanting to talk." Hello? Are you going to answer me or not?". Still nothing." Unbelievable.". I muttered while standing up and walking over to the front door." You know, your priorities need to get in order.". I said opening the door." What?". He said oblivious to what I was trying to get through." Change your life style of dragons first then humans and you will understand.". I said walking out the door. Hiccup caught the door behind me and yelled," where are you going?"." I'm staying with Heather and Fishlegs tonight!".

Hiccups POV
I slowing closed the door trying to comprehend what Astrid was implying. Humans before dragons. Don't I do that.(No Hiccup, you don't). "Where did mom go?". Taylor's voice brought me out of my thoughts." I'm... she went to go flying with Stormfly." I said quickly making up something." Come here.". I ushered Taylor over and gave her a hug.

" We barely see you anymore". My older daughter, Ellie said." I know your the chief except your gone from 6:30am to 9:30pm, it's getting to mom as well. She told me to tell you that you need to stop messing around with the night fury's and do your job. Properly." Ellie's words rang through my head like a bell. That's what Astrid meant. Start putting the village first-no, start putting my family first.

Time skip to morning

Astrid didn't come home last night but I think it was a good thing. It gave me some time to think about what I had been doing over the past 3 weeks. I was happy but I was costing my family's happiness. I was going to start not doing so much with the dragons and start doing my job.( cheesey much😂).
