Feel your arms around me

Hello guys, so I have had  a bit of time and have written another one shot. It is set after httyd 2 and I am not taking in to account the events in 'Sand busted'. I feel like that betrothed gift is just to make the relationship I guess count. But anyway, on with the one shot.

Hiccups POV

I was walking through the iced-spiked village. It's been about 3 weeks since the whole Drago fiasco and let's just say the village still looks horrid but it's coming along. We finished the statue of my late father and now there's not much else to do except wait for the ice to melt.

As I walked through the town square I was swarmed with 'hellos' and 'how are yous'. I wasn't really paying attention.

I had only one thing on my mind. Astrid.

Why can't i get my mind off her. Well I guess she is my girlfriend, but do I want more.

I had been planning something for awhile now but I don't know if I'm ready.

Time skip

"Haha hiccup, this is amazing!". Astrid said while gliding down to the ground with the new flight suit I made for her." I know.". I said. "Listen, Astrid...um, do you ever feel like we don't connect anymore?"." What are saying, Hiccup?". Astrid asked with I slight voice crack." Because if your going to say you want to break up, then I want to go away before you say it.". She started to walk away back down to the village. Ok. Hiccup it's now or never.

Astrid's POV

Urg. I can't believe Hiccup. After all we've been through and he just breaks it of.( A/n please don't kill me). I mean really-! I stop walking because I hear whistling coming from behind me. I started turning around to face Hiccup who was walking, still whistling, coming towards me." W-what are you doing". I ask Hiccup while stammering.

No-ones POV

Hiccup starts walking around Astrid

H    No scorching sun, nor freezing cold
H    Will stop me on my journey

A     But I no need of mighty deeds
A     When I feel your arms around me( just let the scene play out in your head)

H    But I would bring you rings of gold
H    I'd even sing you poetry
H    And I would keep you from all harm
H    If you would stay beside me

A     I have no use for rings of gold
A     I care not of your poetry
A     I only want your hand to hold
H    I only want you near me

A+H    To love to kiss to sweetly hold
A+H     For the dancing and the dreaming
A     Through all of life sorrows and delights
H     I'll keep your life inside me

A+H    I'll swim and sail on savage seas

Hiccups POV

Astrid, I am so sorry." I said , a little out of breath." It is my fault we haven't had time together, so I want to make sure I will have you by my side for ever. Fearless Astrid Hofferson,

Will you marry me?"💍

And she fainted. So I will take that as a yes!

MY FINGERS ARE DEAD! um...So there it is guys, the proposal. Now I did take it out of a pin on Pinterest and I thought, that would make a great one shot. I have been trying to upload this before I went on camp and I did so yay. I'm going to try and update every Sunday but that might not happen this week because of camp but I will try.
