OH MY GOD. I AM LITERALLY SPEECHLESS! 4 THOUSAND PLUS READS. WHAT THE HELL. I am soooo sorry for missing a update but school and school and more school. But honestly, 4.16k reads. I know it's not a lot compared to others but still.

I know what you're gonna say,"this has been done about 200 times". Well I don't care. First of all, I don't like how every story has Hiccup not being able to speak Norse fluently so he will fluent Norse here. I've rambled on for long enough, on to the story:

Hiccup flew over the island of Berk not wanting to be seen. He was leaving for good. A day ago, he was chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but he realised that dragons weren't bad. They were actually quite friendly and cute. If you earn a dragons trust, there is nothing they won't do  for you. With Hiccup, that was Toothless. He couldn't kill the Monstrous Nightmare, he wouldn't. Which is why he had to leave. Hiccup had left clues to his disappearance, a few scales from his Night Fury, his dagger with a bit of blood on it and a shield. Astrid followed him and Hiccup hoped she would piece everything together, conclusion; death by a Night Fury.

Hiccup was right, she found the cove ,where he left his clues, ran back into the village and screamed at the top of her lungs,"HICCUP WAS KILLED BY A NIGHT FURY!".

2 years later

Life was.... okay? Well for Hiccup it was, Astrid and the rest of the teens, not so much. Stoick had gone mad. Loosing His wife and his son to dragons tore his life apart. He barely ate, sat in Hiccups room staring at the door, hoping that his son would walk through it. Berk was quickly loosing their Chief.

Astrid was acting stranger and stranger every time someone mentioned Hiccups name. She blamed her self for his death," If only I could have been there earlier, I could have saved him or at least helped him.". She always thought to her self. For the rest of the gang, it had been weird. They didn't have someone they could torment or bully so they started hitting themselves aka the twins.

Hiccup was living a nightmare/dream. He had started building a sanctuary for dragons on a island he found. He and Toothless had found a way of communicating without having to speak each other's 'languages'. They could sort of read each other's minds. The house Hiccup had built for them was connected to the sanctuary. It had 2 rooms, living/kitchen/dining room and Hiccups bedroom with an over size rock for Toothless to burn for sleep. The sanctuary already had a forge and a healing station but was still in the process of being built.

Every now and then, Hiccup would fly over Berk to see how everyone was going- he only did this during a raid of cause. He noticed that his father wasn't helping in the raid, just the teens and Gobber. Talking of Gobber, he didn't take the news that well but better than Stoick or Astrid.

4 years later

"Right, you lot. Get your bags packed and be at the edge of Berk in half an hour.". Gobber opened the door of the Great Hall and the gang, who had been sitting at a table, slowly got up and walked out." What do you think he has planned for us this time.". Tuff asked Astrid who just shrugged her shoulders and walked away." Ok?". The truth is, Astrid had asked to forest because ever since the incident, she has been wanting to find the Night Fury so she could get some peace and sleep. Even though Astrid thought she got over the fact she didn't help Hiccup, Astrid still felt it was her fault, her fault he was gone.

Hiccup on the other hand, had decided to make a visit to my his hometown, Berk. It didn't go as planned. "So what do you say bud, we fly over Berk one last time before we head south.". Hiccup asked his dragon. He and Toothless were headed south because the news of his whereabouts were spreading around. But he did forget to check the condition of the prosthetic tail...so peacefully, flying over the island of Berk, the connection rod snapped in half. Before he new it, he was plummeting towards the ground below. CRASH! The last thing he could remember was the sight of Toothless rapping his jet black wings around Hiccup's body.

Astrid's POV
We had made our way to the forest border and then the twins started arguing about god knows what. The only thing I could think about was the black beast that killed the heir. Revenge would bring my family honour.

I was brought out of my thoughts by Gobber saying,"Every split up and find a place to set up camp. This is a survival exercise so find food and shelter first. We will meet back her in 5 days. Good luck.". And he walked back into the village. Ruff and I went together and the boys walked off in the same direction.

A few hours in, we had found a good enough spot to sleep, all that was left was food. We went in search but shortly after, got split up.

Hiccups POV
"Toothlesssss". I said sitting straight up right after the reptile finished licking my face. "You know that- wait where are we?". After my sight returned fully, I realised we were somewhere familiar. Berk. Rock around me. The Cove. "No no no no NO!". I screamed getting up and running over to Toothless's broken tail. "This is bad, this very bad. If someone finds us then-". I got stopped by a twig snapping. It wasn't Toothless 'cause he growled straight to where the noise came from. I saw a glimpse of blonde hair running away from The Cove.

Astrid's POV
I had found some food but, when I was walking back to camp, I heard a very loud scream come from some where I hadn't been in 6 years. The Cove. Going to investigate what it was, I saw a jet black figure and a mop of aurban hair. Night Fury! Since I didn't have my axe. I ran back to camp and got Ruff.

Time skip to Ruffnut and Astrid hiding behind a bush to figure out the plan.

"I say we go down and ambush the dragon and protect the Viking.". Ruff protested not thinking it through. "If we do that, then the Night Fury could easily kill us.". I said in a 'duh' tone. "What else is there to do?". She asked. I tried rack my brain until I went with Ruffnut's first idea." Let's just do your idea. On 3.". She nodded." 1- oh come on.". Ruff jumped down before I could finish.

The Night Fury stared straight through our soles after I had jumped down." Oh shit.". The man said who was scrambling to find his helmet. "We don't mean any harm.". He said after he got the helmet on. Those forest green eyes. They are familiar but from where? "You're the one with a Night Fury!". Ruff complained. "Oh Toothless?". The man said. "YOU NAMED IT!". I yelled in shock. "Well... yeah. I do ride him.". This made Ruff and I stop in our tracks. Slowly we walked closer to the man still asking questions. Finally a few steps away from him, I asked," Why are you here?".

Hiccups POV
I didn't really know how to answer that so I just said." The connection rod broke so I had to land on the closest island.". I tried not to spill I was actually, purposely flying over the island.

I looked at the two girls faces, familiar. They were obviously from Berk and around my age, Astrid and Ruffnut. That's it! Those gorgeous ocean blue eyes, how did I not see it before. I was brought out of my thoughts by Astrid demanding. "Who are you?!".

Oh shit!

I am sorry for the swearing but I think it kinda fit if you know what I'm saying. This will be a two parter, hopefully the second part will be up by Wednesday because I have to fly to Sydney on Thursday so.... we'll see.
