A/N: Oh how I missed writing...
The last few weeks have been hard for me...
Anyways, I was looking at the statistics of this story and found that I have readers from soooo many places!
So please comment what you think about this chapter and say where you are from!

Simón's POV

I arrive at Luna's for out usual Friday skating day.
I can hear music playing, something close to Rock, and wonder if Luna started skating without me. Even though this isn't her music style nor does she ever chose the songs. That's always my department.

Either way, I ring the bell and in no time a bubbly Luna opens the door.
"Simón here you are!"
"Were you skating without me, Miss Valente?"
She giggles, shaking her while pulling me inside. "No, no, no. How could I do that to the best friend in the whole world? It's Ámbar. Well, Ámbar and Emilia. They are outside."

I nod, curious as to see how Ámbar is skating in this new reality, with a new team, a new "lifestyle".
I follow Luna outside, and freeze for a second when my eyes finally find the blonde I was thinking about.

She might be skating in her black outfit, but does she shine. It's amazing to watch her. What she transmits while skating. I remember telling her many times that she needed to feel the song, the lyrics, remember Juliana telling her that she needed to express herself. But she was always too worried about her image. She had to be this perfect, emotionless singer, skater, person.

Now, looking at her flowing on the ring, I can see that her whole self is mix of feelings. I can sense her passion, her freedom, her strength, her weakness, everything. This person skating in front of me is Ámbar. The real Ámbar. And it's almost overwhelming. She is too good. I mean, I always knew she was good, queen of the rink or not. But this? This is a completely new level. Something Ámbar never showed, or was allowed to show...
I remember her telling that the choreography didn't express her strengths, and as much as it hurts me to say because I really like Juliana, she was completely right. And it looks as if Sliders are a good team for her...
What I am seeing now, in front of me, in a simple skating meeting of friends, it's so much more than what I ever saw in any of our trainings.

Luna touches my shoulder and I wake up from my transe. I look at her, and she has a serious face.
"I know... They are really good..." She whispers. And only now I notice that Emilia was skating as well. Guilty there...

Mr. Alfredo notices us and makes a sign so that we sit next to him.
"Aren't they amazing?" He whispers and we both smile slightly, nodding.
Amazing is an understatement...

When the song is over, Mr. Alfredo starts clapping and we follow him, gaining the attention from the two girls.

Her blue eyes stop for a second on mine, and I smile, a genuine proud smile, because I truly am. She blinks, looking away and they both skate towards us.

"Are we the best you have ever seen in your life?" Emilia askes Alfredo, hands on her hips. This girl is walking confidence.
He chuckles and gets up.
"Yes you are! I love seeing you all skate! Luna, Simón why don't you join them?"

We exchange looks for a few seconds, all of us on the verge of protesting, but for one reason or the other, we all end up giving up.

"So which song do you want me to put?" I ask and Luna and Emilia answer at the same time:
"Valiente!"
"Mine!"
They look at each other and are about to start arguing when I have an idea.

"What if we danced Footloose? Everyone likes it right?" I suggest, scratching the back of my head.
"It's great for me..." Ámbar agrees. Luna and Emilia agree with a simple nod. I head to my phone and connect it to the stereo, and in a few seconds, the song is playing.

During the beginning of the song, clearly we are still two separate groups, with Emilia wanting to show off and Luna getting frustrated, but eventually the exhibitionism turns into actually teaching and copying each others steps.
When the song is over Mr. Alfredo claps again and we are all smiling.

"As much as it costs me to say, you guys are good. It wouldn't have been fun beating you if you weren't up to it... But this is the only time you will hear it!" Emilia confesses, gaining an eye roll from her friend. "However, you have seen us skate just the two of us, it's only fair you show us something as well!" She points out.

"It's fair! It's fair!" I agree and head to my phone, putting Valiente on.
It's Luna's favourite song to skate and we have been going over our first few choreographies with this song and improving them.

The girls sit and we start skating. I really like skating with Luna, it's so natural, so like home. I have been skating with her since the first time I met her, which was in skating class. Isn't it ironic? So I don't have to work that hard to make the moves right, the lifts, or anything, it's part of who I am I think.
Luna ends up falling (or wouldn't she be called Luna) and taking me with her, so we end up both flat on the floor. Luna giggles and says "I am sorry, Simón" and all I can do is shake my head at how my best friend is.

I feel a hand in my shoulder and look up. Ámbar is staring at me, her eyes showing worry.
"Are you okay, Simón?" She asks and I nod, accepting her hand to help me get up.
"Yes, it's just my best friend was being her usual self..."
"I can see why they call you Luna. That's really where you live..." Emilia mocks and I can hear Mr. Alfredo laughing but not his reply.
My eyes are once again fixated on Ámbar, her worried face is now calm, but after watching her skate, I want to understand her, what she feels, what her eyes tell even more. I shouldn't. I should hate her and want to be as far as I could from her. But that's not me. That's not part of who I am. She once told me I was too good. Well, she is right I am. Because no matter the circumstances, I cannot simply have negative feelings towards her without regretting it two seconds later. That's why I cannot take my eyes of her. Her reasons, another mystery I want to solve.

I hear someone cough behind us and break our gaze. Emilia has her arms crossed, a look of mischief on her face. "Why don't you too give us a little show yourselves? I hear you were a pair before... Let's see if you are that good with my friend. Oh, and take this moment to learn something as well."
Mr. Alfredo laughs. "Yes! You two skate together! I would like that very much!" He exclaims in a begging tone and it might have been just my impression, but I think he winked at Emilia.

I turn to Ámbar again, offering her my hand which she takes without hesitation. We skate until the middle of the rink and I swallow, a bit nervous as to how this is about to go.
"I'd be crazy" starts playing and we simply skate holding hands, building some trust, some confidence.
When it hits the chorus, I think we are ready so I pick her, making us feel both turn with her feet not touching the floor. We then make a few jumps, some more turns, and a few other lifts. With each one it's almost like she is regaining the confidence that I won't let her fall, that I won't let any harm come to her, that I will always be there to catch her. And on the other side she shows me that she needs me, needs me to be there for her, to support her. And I don't know what is only skating and what is about us...

Again I am caught in a web of feelings.
All I know is that with every move we are getting closer and closer, better and better together, and I am loving doing this with her. God, I am loving this girl.
So when the song is over, and we are on our final pose, I have an urge to hug her and that's what I do.
I hold her as close as I can to my chest, giving her and myself the comfort we need from each other...
