We walked around for a while. Hikaru was wearing a kimono that was black and faded into grey. We stopped and had just about every type of food there is on a stick. He was great company. Which only made me miss Aki even more.
"Do you work?" He asked.
"No, actually. My Grandmother does and I keep the house in check when she's not home. I even know how to cook and do laundry." I admitted.
He laughed at me. I blushed. I got up the courage to look up at him again as he walked but then I saw Aki. I stopped short. Hikaru looked at me when I stopped.
"What's the problem?" He asked.
"Nothing. Let's just keep walking." I said putting my focus back on him.
Too bad Aki saw me too. He stopped what he was doing and walked over to me. Aki saw Hikaru. I was terrified about what would happen next. All I could do is stay quiet.
"Hi. I'm Aki I'm Kioshi's-"
"Kioshi's what? From what he said you haven't talked to him in weeks." Hikaru said.
"Just let me talk to him." Aki said.
"Frankly, I don't think he wants anything to do with you. Not after you ditched him! Come on let's go Kioshi." Hikaru took my hand and we walked away from Aki.
I looked back at Aki and he was upset. I could tell. I mouthed "I'm sorry" but I don't think he saw me. All he saw was me holding someone else's hand. But Hikaru was right. After all this time now he wants to talk to me? What could be possibly have to say.
"Let's get out of here. I don't want him to bother you any more." He said.
