Platz:
I'm' looking around but I don't know who just said that. Then this big guy steps out of the shadow. He looks creepy to me. I guess he is as tall as Dan but he has much more muscles.
"Excuse me," I ask. "I said, that you are not going to do that," he responds with a deep voice. "And why not?" "Because I said so!" I glance at Ben, who just shrugs his shoulders, then at Dan. He follows the conversation with wary eyes. "What do you want?" Ben asks after what seemed like hours of silence.
"Didn't you listen when we told you what we want?" he replies with a growl. "We told you that everyone has to stay on their seats! So you are going back. NOW!" I swallow. "But we need to stop his bleeding." "You need to go back to your seats!" With every word, his voice gets louder and more threatening.
"Look. We know that we have to go back to our seats and we will do that, right after we treated his wounds. Because he won't make it back to our seats if we don't treat him now." Wayne tries to convince him. But he shakes his head.
"Come on. He is one of my best friends and I won't let him down. We will do what you want just let us save his life. Just let us bandage his wound. It won't take longer than one or two minutes. It will only take longer if you say no!" I try. He sighs. Then points at a wall behind him: "There is a first aid kit, you have two minutes. But don't think that I'm always that kind. Just this one time. "Thank you!" Wayne says relieved. Ben opens the buttons of Dan's shirt and I run to the wall this guy pointed at. As I get closer I can already see the box. I grab it and run back.
Ben has already unbuttoned Dan's shirt and for the first time, I can see the wound. Its right under his ribs and although its such a small wound there is lots of blood coming out. I kneel down next to Ben and open the box in my hands then I take out a bandage and hand it to Ben.
"Do you have an antiseptic agent?" Wayne stops us. I take a second look and find one. Ben takes it and mentions that it is going to hurt. Right after he spoke he put some of it on his wound. Dan flinches and clenches his fists. Now Ben tapes his injury up. While he does that I take out three more bandages and purse them. I'm pretty sure we'll need them.
Once we are done Ben and I take Dan's arms again and put them over our shoulders. Then we slowly stand up and start walking back to our seats. We didn't even bother to button Dan's shirt up again, because so we would see it earlier if it starts bleeding again.
It's really tiring walking like that and after about fifty meters we have to take a break. But the guy behind us growls: "Don't even think about stopping!" So we continue. As we get out of the backstage area I take a look at my friends. Ben seems to do okay even though we have to carry our friend more or less. Dan just concentrates on the way and I can see that he grits his teeth. Why does he always have to deal with so much pain? He deserves better!
We get recognized just a few seconds after we are back in the field of the peoples view. I keep on concentrating on my way but I can feel their eyes on me. No one says a word. Suddenly a man on my right stands up an starts clapping. I gaze at him, confused, but as we go along more and more people stand up and start clapping.
That action came so unexpected that we stop and just look at them. From my point of view, everyone is standing and giving us applause. That just leaves me speechless and I can't resist to smile. We continue walking but as we reach our table people don't stop. Dan takes his arms of our shoulders and leans against the table.
All four of us look into the crowd and everyone is looking back at us, that view just warms my heart. We wave our hands to signal them how thankful we are and slowly the applause decreases. I turn around to the table and see everyone smiling. Then we sit down. Taylor and the other two left us the bench to sit.
"We thought you would want to sit together," Taylor states. We thank her and Dan sits down, Wayne on his side. Ben and I circumambulate the table and I take the seat on Dan's other side. I can't stop thinking about what just happened. It was just a little gesture but it just warmed my heart.
