DAY 25
(Wednesday)

Daybreak! What's there to do? Not much . I got up did all the necessary stuff and left for the seaside. I passed by Auntie Naa's place and took a loaf of bread . I told her  all about Efua and all that happened yesterday. She was very excited for me . I smiled and took my leave. Some hours later, Efua was wondering of how she could contact or see me . She took a taxi to where I alighted yesterday and was searching and asking for me around. She didn't know my name so it was very difficult for the people to know whom she was looking for . Someway somehow, she managed to get close to Auntie Naa's place. She asked someone around that side , and Auntie Naa overheard the conversation. She went out to look at the person asking, then she found out it's the same girl from drawing. She was excited, she even called her by her name . Efua was so shocked . Auntie Naa said you're looking for my son , he's not my biological son but I take him as one . He told me a lot about you . Efua asked where I was . Auntie Naa said , I came for some bread earlier this morning but she can't tell if you're home or at the seaside, so she should try checking my home first . She agreed , Auntie showed her the place and she thanked her and left . When she got there , it's an open house so she just entered and knocked on the door. My mum came out and said please we have already paid our bills . She smiled and said I'm not hear for bills please. I'm in search for someone, a young gentleman to be precise and I was directed here. "There's no young gentleman here, it's just my husband and I. Efua was disappointed and said ; I might have got the wrong place then . She turned to leave then my mum called her and said "but we have this useless son , he's out , probably to seaside or somewhere " . Efua smiled and shouted thanks , he's the one. Then she left . My mum was in shock but she just overlooked everything and went back inside. She passed by Auntie Naa's place and thanked her . I was at the seaside when she came. I was surprised but happy. We talked for a longtime, she told me about what happened with my mum , I told her to overlook it but that's how things have been for sometime now. She said it's sad. She added that , I'm the only one that has made her happy for sometime now. She sighed and said but it would only last for a short while. Then I asked; "why are you saying this? I'm here , I have nowhere to go . Or wait , are you traveling, wow that's great " she put up a disappointed face and she sighed again and said. " you remember asking me why he left?" . I replied ; yeah . She said , she has only one kidney and the doctor said she'd die soon . Her ex left because she told him the truth. I was so down- hearted , I didn't expect her to say something like this . I was speechless. Then she added, she won't be shocked if I left but she'd understand. Then I said ; "leave where and go where. You're my friend I'd just help you out of this not discourage you " . She gave a fake smile. I wanted her to be happy, so I quickly changed the topic and brought something else up. It was getting late and she decided to leave , then she gave me one last news , she said she had spoken with her dad , and I can start working on Monday , I shouted "THANK YOU". She added that, All I need is to send my details to his mail, which she gave me and I hugged her

and she left. I was very happy, shouting and singing praises whilst on my way home . I passed by Auntie Naa and told her , she was very happy for me. My enemies would be shy from Monday. I got home with great excitement, I didn't want to tell my parents now. I wanted to tell them on Monday when I'm ready for work. I took my bath , said a word of prayer kept singing praises till I slept.
