Newt pov.

It was almost ridiculous. Flowers. Chocolates. Clothes. It was to much. I watched his dog, I didn't need...all this in return.

"Newt?"

"Yea-AH!" I shouted. I turned around and a six foot giant teddy bear stood in the door way.

"Help me!" Lizzy called from behind it.

"Bloody hell! Lizzy are you Alright?

"This is ridiculous." She cried.

"I know." I took the bear from her and threw it down. "I'm gonna go talk to him."

Lizzy nodded and I left. I called him first, I had his number from his business card that was send with a gift.

"Hello?"

"Hey Thomas, it's Newt, I walked Trixy like a week ago-"

"I didn't forget."

"Yeah, so I was wondering if I could just talk to you-"

"I'll meet you at the cafe in five." And he hung up.

I was right next to the cafe when I called. He couldn't have possibly known where I was, could he?

He arrived after five minutes. Exactly when he said he would.

He ushered me to a table in a private dining room and pulled my chair out for me. I sat and he pushed it in. Then he took his own seat across from me.

"The gifts, as much as I love them, are extremely unnecessary." I muttered to him.

"Do you have anyone in your life you treats you well and showers you with gifts?" Thomas asked.

"No, but I-"

Thomas smiled, "I would like to be that person."

"Huh?"

"Can I be that person?" He was serious.

"Are you asking me to go with you?" I raised an eyebrow.

       "Yes." He shrugged

"You've never done this before have you?" I asked, he didn't seem like the person who asked people out.

"I've never had to work this hard to gain the affection of anyone no. Usually every woman would drop to her knees for me and every man would too-"

"Try again." I shook my head at him

He scratched his head, "No I haven't."

"I will go on one date with you and we'll see how it goes on some conditions." I said

"Name them, baby." He said, that was a turn on.

"No suits. And nothing fancy stop playing the business man for a night." I demanded

He nodded his head "Done."

"And if all goes well-" I shrugged

He bit his lip and looked at me with a seductive look, "We get to-"

"Don't finished my sentences. But yes. Maybe." I told him. I don't like people finishing my sentences.

Thomas smiled, "I'd like to pick you to tonight then at seven."

"Done." I returned his smile

It was a date.

"Newt hurry up," lizzy shouted from our apartment window as I walked near. "I need to go!"

She was going out tonight with friends and she wanted me to get inside so she could leave.

"I'm coming." I muttered
