We were walking outside of Magnus's house when Jordan heard the growling.

"What was that?" Alexia asked.

"Werewolf," Jordan replied.

"A very pissed off werewolf," added Maia.

We walked faster towards the car when the wolf suddenly came from behind a tree. It was huge and it's fur was grey. Piercing green eyes looked at us. I recognized those eyes from somewhere but I couldn't place it.

Alexia suddenly grabbed a blade from her belt and threw it at the wolf. It wasn't a killing shot but it was enough to let us get into the car and drive away.

"Why would a werewolf be mad at us?" Alexia asked.

"It's more at you two. It totally ignored me and Maia," Jordan pointed out.

"I've never seen a wolf so mad," noted Maia.

"I've never seen a werewolf at all," I said.

Jordan and Maia laughed at that I looked over at Alexia, she was looking out the window lost in thought.

"Hey, you okay?" I whispered to her.

She only nodded and kept looking out the window, a thoughtful expression in her face. After we dropped off Maia we headed back to the warehouse.

"So what's the plan next?" Jordan asked as we drove back.

"We need to head to Idris. We need the demon box and the sword. But first we need a portal," I said.

"Easier said than done as always, lets sleep on it and we'll see what happens in the morning."

When we got back to the warehouse we changed into more suitable clothes. Me and Alexia shared a bed while Jordan went to a spare room.

"So what's the plan after we get to Idris, you do know we're wanted right?" Alexia said.

The demon had given us a few minutes of privacy and so now I had Alexia. I had my arms wrapped around her and she laid her head on my chest, underneath the covers our legs were intertwined.

"I don't know that yet. We have to find some sort of disguise so that they won't recognize us first," I said.

"Do you remember what Magnus told us? Something about Valentine experimenting on me and trying to give me special powers. What if I can create a rune that could turn us into entirely different people," she turned over to look me in the eye.

"I don't think that's possible. No rune has ever been created besides the ones that are written down in the book. You and I both know that."

"True but what if I can? Can I at least try?" she looked at me pleadingly, her golden eyes winning me over.

"Sure. Lets just try tomorrow. I'm so tired," we settled in and I pulled her closer to me.

"Goodnight love," I whispered.

"Goodnight, I love you,"

"Me too."

I closed my eyes.

"Sean I'm still waiting," she said.

"Waiting for what?" I knew who it was.

"I'm waiting for you, for you to come and save me from Valentine," she said.

"I have other stuff I'm doing right now. But I don't even know if you're real."
