"No!" I yelled.
"Sean, come on wake up," rough hands were shaking my shoulders. The voice was unfamiliar. I opened my eyes to just to see another guy hovering over my head. I jumped up from the bed and searched my weapons belt for any blades.
"Whoa chill I'm just trying to help," the guy held up his hands.
"Who are you? Where is Alexia?" I growled.
"I'm right here Sean calm down," I didn't even hear her come through the door.
"Who is this guy," I was still glaring at him.
"This is Jordan. He was nearby when we attacked. He helped us by bringing you here when you passed out," Alexia explained.
"You should've said so," I sat back down on the bed.
"Yea and now you're at a warehouse behind an abandoned hotel, we should be safe for now." Jordan said.
"Cool. But am I safe from a werewolf?" I glared at him again.
"Shit, didn't think you'd notice," he got up from the bed.
"I told you he would. Even the less experienced Shadowhunters have the ability to sense other Downworlders," Alexia in a matter of fact voice.
"Sense when did we start allying ourselves with wolves?" I said trying to be calm.
"Since the day the accords were signed and also since I know where to find Magnus Bane,"
I looked at Alexia accusingly.
"What?! What else was I supposed to do, you were unconscious for the whole night,"
"Ugh. Okay whatever. So, tell me Jordan, where can I find Magnus Bane?" I put my hands behind my head casually.
"He's throwing a party that only Downworlders got invited to. It's at his house and I doubt he would mind if we showed up and asked a few questions." Jordan said.
"Who's 'we'? Only me and her are going," I said.
"No you're not. I think it might be a little better if you showed up with a werewolf than just by yourself and besides," he looked at Alexia, "she already told me everything and I would like to help."
"Dammit Alexia. Keep your mouth shut." I said tiredly.
"Sorry," she whispered.
"So first things first. You two need some new clothes and I know exactly where to get them. You can't show up looking like that," he pointed at me and Alexia and gave us a look.
"Can I show up naked?" I looked at Alexia.
"Oh God no," Alexia put her hands over her eyes.
"Sure," Jordan replied. "But I know you're not so let's get going."
I stood and we walked out the door, my muscles protesting a little. The warehouse itself was big. Boxes surrounded us everywhere.
"You live here?" I asked Jordan.
"Only when the full moon doesn't take over. I'm not with a pack at the moment."
We walked to the entrance and Jordan opened the doors. My car was up front along with what I assume was Jordan's.
"I hope you have money," was all he said as we got into the car.
Alexia was in the backseat and Jordan was driving.
"So how did you two end up in this mess?" asked Jordan as he took us downtown.
"Long story but one name can sum it up. Valentine." I said.
