Astrid Pov

I rode stormfly home and she went to her little shed outside and I unhooked her saddle from her and put it up. "Get some rest girl. We have a busy day tomorrow" I say and she lays down. I walk inside and my father is there with his angry expression as always sometimes I just wish he would just be proud or happy for me and not so angry all the time. I mean what did I ever do to him? Nothing thats what, I walk inside and close the door I walked to the stairs about to go to my room "Wait, we need to set some things straight before you leave tomorrow" He said sternly then I turn around "And they would be?" I said already annoyed with whatever he is going to say. "I agreed to let you go because it gets you away from the house even though Its with that haddock." He says and I can tell it bothers him to even think about that and even more to say it. "Okay...whats the catch?" I ask knowing theres always and I mean always a catch. I either am expected to do something or behave a certain way when he does something unnormal for him. "You are to prove you can honor our family name by doing nothing more of just exploring the world and watching out for threats towards Berk.. Do you think you can do that?" He asks me seriously and I just rolled my eyes "Answer the question, Do you think you can do that?!" He says sternly "Yes I think I can manage that...Dad" I said aggravated and then I walked upstairs. Oh the gods hate me why does my father have to say that of all things. If Im with hiccup for who knows how long and Im not suppose to show feelings. Im going to either go crazy or die because of it. I sighed and then grabbed my bag and put my brush,paper and rope into my bag then I grabbed my diary and sat down on my bed with my charcoal in my hand 'Dear Diary, Well not much is new except Im going to go map the world with Hiccup and my Father said Im am not to show any emotions towards him. Fun right? well were leaving in the morning I must get some sleep now ~Astrid Hofferson' I closed my diary and put it in my bag along with my charcoal to write with. I slipped off my boots and blew out my candle and lay down and went to sleep awaiting the next day.
