Dragons & A Forbidden Love (Hiccstrid)

Chapter 9

Hiccup Pov                                       I wake up to toothless in my face staring at me. I jump back "Toothless! you scared me" I said rubbing my eyes and toothless sat down on the floor laughing at me. I roll my eyes and swing my leg and peg leg over the side of the bed. I take a deep breath "Today's the day" I say and look at toothless smiling at me "What are you so happy about?" I ask him then he walks over to my desk and picks up one of my drawings and walks back over to me "What's this bud?" I ask and grab it from him I look at it and I slightly smiled it was a drawing I did of astrid smiling the day she kissed me years ago. Toothless nudged my side looking at me. I looked over at him and  sighed then stuffed the paper into my drawer. "That's never going to happen" I said answering what he was thinking, I stood up and walked over and grabbed my bags then attached them to toothless' saddle. "Let's go get some food" I said and we both walked to the great hall. Toothless went to his spot near Stormfly and waited for me, I carried over a bag of fish for him and put it in front of him. "Eat up bud we have a busy day" I said and went to go get my own food. I grabbed my plate and a drink. I looked for a place to sit "Hey Hiccup!" I heard a voice say and I turned around to see Astrid waving me over. This is a bad idea, oh hush! Don't jinx it Hiccup just go sit by her. I sighed "Hey Astrid" I said walking over to her and sit beside her. "So are you ready for today?" she asked me in a excited tone "Yeah its going to be fun" I said trying to sound as excited as she was. She already finished her food and went to say hello to the dragons. I watched her and she was talking to them and they made a few dragon sounds back to her and she laughed. I smiled and took the last bit of my food then got a drink. I put my dishes up and walked over to them. "So are you ready to leave?" I ask eagerly so that we could finally go map the world "Yes I packed last night..Im all ready" She said standing up "Okay then" I said and pat toothless on his head, we all walked out to say our goodbyes to family and friends. My father told me my mother was killed by a dragon when I was a baby so I only have my father. Fishlegs,Tuffnut and my cousin Snotlout came to say their goodbyes after they left  my father came up to me and put his hand on my shoulder and when I finally thought he would say something like 'Be careful son' or 'Take care' no Im wrong and I get "Don't screw up son and don't die I will need someone to take my place when Im to old" He says sternly. I sigh "Yes Father" I say then turn away rolling my eyes. I walk back over to toothless to wait for Astrid to get done saying her goodbyes so we can finally go explore the vast unknown world awaiting.
