Bughead: The Diner

Chapter 7

Alice Cooper didn't mess around; this is how Betty found herself sat on a hospital bed having three stitches on the side of her head and seven stitches in her hand. When Betty had gotten home her mom was drunk and took it out on Betty after being pushed into a cupboard and having glass and plates fall on her, Betty went to grab a bag of clothes and necessities and her school stuff before walking to the hospital. In the waiting room she had texted the work group chat with Sweetpea, fangs and jughead:

Betty: hey, erm... i kinda need a ride to a motel... can someone pick me up please?
Fangs: we are all still at the diner we can all come where are you?🙂
Betty: the hospital...
Jug: what?! Why?! Babe are you okay?!
Sweetpea: we're on our way!

So here Betty found herself on a hospital bed waiting for a doctor and her friends and boyfriend. Suddenly the curtain burst open and the boys were there. "Oh baby, what's happened?" Jug said, rushing to her side and kissing her. She showed them her hand and after explaining what happened with her mom she was in tears again. The three comforter her. "I hate hospitals" she groaned and jug took her uninjured hand and rubbed her back. "Hello you must be Elizabeth" a doctor said and Betty nodded. "Okay I'm here to do your stitches" he said. "Oh god" Betty mumbled. "It's okay angel I've had them before" Sweetpea said. "Owww!" Betty yelled when the first stitch went in. "Shh it's okay look at me... okay focus on my voice... I love you okay? And you're staying with me? I'll keep you safe okay?" Jug said. "You don't have to do that I'll stay at a motel" she said. "Betts, you aren't staying in a dirty motel, you have school and I want you with me where I know you're safe" he said and kissed her. "Thank you" she smiled. "Okay we're done!" The doctor announced. "Really?" Betty asked confused. "Are you sure she doesn't have concussion?" Fangs joked. "Told you to focus on my voice and it would be okay" Jug and she hugged him. After the doctor explained to the boys about how to look after her and her hand she was discharged. They dropped jug and Betty as his apartment and the couple went Inside to get Betty settled. Jug cleared out a shelf in the bathroom for her and a drawer and wardrobe space and she put away all her clothes and then he emptied a draw in his office so she could keep her school work. He told her that the next day they would go shopping so she could have food she likes in the cupboard and eventually they'd go and get the rest of her stuff from her house. That night when they were cuddled up in bed Betty rolled to face him and said "thanks for doing this! I can't repay you I love you so much!" She said. "Betts, I don't want to see you hurt ever again, I was so worried when you said you were in hospital and I want you to live here with me okay? I love you!" He said. They fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms and for the first time in ages Betty felt safe.
