Bughead: The Diner

Chapter 8

The next day jughead was at the diner while Betty was a school. He was agitated; he couldn't help but worry about Betty being at school, he knew she had Kevin and Veronica but it still left him unsettled. "Hey jug, hows Betty doing?" Fangs asked on their lunch break. "Honestly, not too good but she will be, her mom forced a lot of bad habits onto her which she needs to break" Jug sighed. "She's strong dude, she'll be okay eventually" sweetpea said as he started to wipe down the tables. Suddenly Betty came into the diner. "Betts? It's lunch time what are you doing here? Are you okay?" Jug asked, rushing to his girlfriends side. "Oh... I'm fine I had study hall for the rest of the day and they let me do work at home so I thought I'd come and see if you need any help" she smiled. "We're not busy so it's okay, you can do your work if you want?" Jug said, pecking her lips. "I might just read if that's okay? I don't feel like doing much work" Betty replied before moving to sit in a booth at the back of the diner. 15 minutes later fangs found Betty in the kitchen. "Hey betty, can I help you with anything?" He asked. "Hey fangs! I was just making a hot chocolate and some cheesy fries" she beamed. "I got it, go and sit back down" he smiled back. She thanked him and went back to sit in the booth.

"Who's are they?" Jug said when he came into the kitchen noticing fangs cooking, and being confused as no one was in the diner. "Betty's" fangs said simply. "Did she ask for them?" Jug said, confused because they all knew Betty wasn't eating and it was a big deal to her. "Yeah I caught her trying to make it herself and offered to do it for her" fangs said with a smile. "Wow, she actually wanted to eat" Jug smiled and looked over to the blonde in question. "She's Gonna be Just fine jug" fangs said and handed Betty's order to jughead to take to her.

"Order for a gorgeous blonde?" Jug smirked placing her food and hot chocolate in front of her and sliding in next to her. "Thanks juggie" she smiled and started eating at her fries. "What are you reading?" Jug asked, nodding to her book. "Romeo and Juliet" she said, blushing. "I know it's so cliche but it's my comfort book" she added. "Comfort book?@" Jug questioned as he threw and arm around her. "Yeah like when I'm sick or sad it's what i like to read" she said. "I know it's stupid" she laughed. "No. It's not. It's adorable" Jug said and kissed her softly, she pulled away and smiled up at him. "Help me finish my fries?" She asked. "What don't I get to share your hot chocolate?" He said in mock seriousness, but laughter evident in her face. "No! It's my favourite!" She giggled before taking the mug and taking a big sip getting whipped cream on her nose. Jug laughed at the sight of her grinning fave which was covered in cream. He kissed her nose and licked off the cream; causing her to laugh. Their moment was interrupted by a flash of a camera and Sweetpea and fangs were In front of their booth grinning like idiots, Sweetpea holding up his phone. "Sorry but you two are goals!" Fangs said and the couple just looked at each other and laughed.
