Bughead: The Diner

Chapter 4

The next few weeks passed in a haze of happiness and love for Betty and jughead. They fell into a routine at work and then he would walk her home and sometimes picking her up from school. Betty brought light to the diner; Sweetpea and fangs loved her. So when Betty called in sick for work one day the boys were confused, she had seemed fine and never once known her to be sick. This continued for three more days until one Wednesday when the boys were setting the diner up for opening and Betty walked in. Her usual put together ponytail was dishevelled and her uniform was not neat and had a large hoodie thrown over the top. But what concerned then the most was the amount of makeup Betty seemed to be wearing. "Hey Betts" Jug said going in to kiss her but she took a step back. "Are you okay?" He asked and she nodded and left to the kitchen.

Betty never spoke to any of them during the shift and stayed in the kitchen. When they diner was empty they closed early and sat Betty down to see what was going on. "Betty we know somethings up what's going on?" Fangs asked. Sighing Betty took a wipe out of her bag and wiped away her makeup revealing a purple bruise on her cheek. Jughead stiffened beside her. "Who. Did. That" he Growled. "Someone at school" she whispered, trying to keep her voice steady. "Who?!" Sweetpea said in anger. "His names chuck, chuck Clayton" she said and immediately burst into tears. "Oh betts, I've got you, let it all out.... shhh baby" jug said hugging her tightly. "Okay we're closed now so let's go and pay chuck a little visit" Sweetpea said and they all left the diner....
