"Hi" She said friendly and stopped in front of us. She wasn't very old, I would assess her around 20 years.
"Are you Julia and Noah?"
She wore a black jacket with a light blue blouse underneath it and black trousers which got wider to the bottom. Her hair was tied in a low ponytail in her neck what seemed very business-like but her smile was very sympathetic.
"Yes, we are. Hi, Im Julia Bruckheimer, nice to meet you." I said, while standing up from the sofa and took her hand to shake it. Noah did the same.
"Nice to meet you too, call me Viktoria" she answered, while shaking Noahs hand.
"Do you have all of your stuff?" Viktoria seemed to be in a very good mood, because her smile wouldn't fade from her face. As an answer, Noah and I just nodded and followed her out of the hotel.
"I hope your getting here was relaxed." Viktoria said, but it sounded more like a question. "Yes, it was a bit rainy but it worked out very punctual." Noah reported. Viktoria was walking in front of us and was leading us out of the hotel to the right. The weather was very cloudy and cool, but it was still light outside.
In the time we needed, to get to the unicef headquarters we talked about our getting here and our departure, which would be tomorrow and when we reached the building two minutes later I was very impressed, like the evening before in front of the hotel. I think it was just New York, itself, I was here some times before but every time it was really impressing.
I hadn't much time in front of the hotel because Noah and Viktoria were already entering. Inside the building it was very spacious, well the foyer was. The floor consisted out of beige and brown shiny squares and on the walls, there were high-reaching windows.
"We have a little time left until the meeting starts, but we will go into the room now." Viktoria said and leaded us towards the elevators.
Inside the elevator Viktoria pressed the button for the 14th floor. The limited space of the room made me a bit nervous and I grabbed onto the railing. I never liked elevators especially the moments when they began to move and when they stopped. It always made me a little dizzy and so I was very glad when we arrived the 14th floor and I could leave the elevator.
In front of us was a small but very clean and bright floor which had around three doors on each side. At the end of the floor, the way split up and leaded to the left and to the right. Across from us, the other wall consisted out of glass, but you couldn't see very far because 50 Meter across from the unicef building, there was another building which was blocking the view.
Viktoria guided us down the floor and to the right and at the end of that floor, she opened the last door to her right, and let us into the room.
I was wrong with the view, because from this room, you could see very far, one side of the room consisted of just glass so you could even see the big river, which is located nearby. And despite the cool weather today, the room was enlightened in a soft light.
The conference room looked like every other conference room. In the middle was a big round table, around which black chairs stood and on the table were glasses and some water bottles.
The remaining few minutes, I spent with looking out of the big window and small talking with Noah and Viktoria.
After five minutes the door opened again and five men and women entered the room. They were all wearing suits and business clothes.
"Hello Julia! It is very nice to finally meet you in person. Would you like to take a seat?" an old-looking man said, speaking for the whole group. I think he is around 40 years old, his head was already covered in grey hair, but for that, he had a very nice smile on his face, which was emphasized through some laughing wrinkles around his eyes.
