CHAPTER ONE-

Ash ran with her sister. They leapt from rooftop to rooftop. Long, slender legs stretching, tails and bodies twisting to help provide an elegant, stable, and precise landing for their owners. They knew the importance of moving silently, and quickly. It was either move quickly and quietly or die. Shredder may have been and still was, a monster, but he had taught them both many things. Unfortunately, he knew of Ash's...father, and his way of...raising her... Despite her truly defiant, and rather fiery and stubborn nature, Ash was raised to be submissive towards everyone. It was a part of her instincts... Shredder had taken advantage of this. Liz had always been a rather frail girl, and if one were to assert their dominance forcefully...well....she was rather easy to control. Their former master's decision to...connect them both...was a risky one...but it had benefits...for him anyway.

The risk of rebellion was higher, but the ability to control them through the other was a definite and obvious tide turner. Ash pondered this as she moved, her sister moving gracefully, shoulder to shoulder with her. 'I'm hungry...but I...can't stop...he'll find us for sure if we do....I don't know if I can protect Liz from...him...let alone myself.... Heck, we couldn't even outrun his footbots... They have no energy to run out of... No... We must keep moving.... To stop is to die.' A sudden flash of concern darted across Ash's mind. Her sister was hungry... What to do... 'To stop..is to die.." The same words rang through her head once again. No. She had to keep... * Fwoosh* Instantly, she crouched, the familiar and comforting warmth of Liz's back pressed against hers. Silence.  Ash spoke, her whisper soft, and slightly hoarse from lack of water. "What was that?" A pause. "I...don't know.." Liz whimpered slightly. Ash's grip tightened on her bow. "Please don't fail me now, Silver...' (Yes, she named her bow, deal with it.)

Silence. It was unnerving. Ash's ears twitched. Instantly, Liz's head snapped up. Ash remained silent. She knew better then to speak. Liz had sharper ears then Ash. Ash had the eyes. Liz the ears. To speak now, would be to lose the sound of the enemy, and thus, the enemy's position. "Three and a half feet to the left... Sounds like a...90 degree shot?" Liz spoke hurriedly. Ash made no other sign of acknowledgment, other then a slight shift of her draw fingers. She had an arrow notched. She had her enemy's position. What held her back? A lack of knowledge. Was the enemy even..hostile? She mentally smacked herself. Yes. They were. Anyone who wasn't her sister was an enemy. No one aside from Liz could be trusted... She exhaled softly. Liz moved slowly. She was going to unsheath her blade. This was Ash's signal. In a sudden, abrupt movement, Ash had lifted her bow, spun, and-"BOOYAKASHAAAAA!!!" A young rookie-sounding voice yelled. Ash froze, and Liz halted her attack. 'What kind of a battle cry was that?' Ash wondered for a brief moment, before a green, leather-clad foot collided with her chest, and sent her flying backward.

A startled yelp escaped her, before the green...whatever it was...was knocked off of her. "RRARR!" A rush of relief washed through Ash. "  'Liz....' Three more forms followed the first. "Turtles...Mutants...Ninjas.." Ash breathed. Oh...what kind of trouble had they run into now? She whirled, and aimed. "MIKEY! I told you to wait for my signal!" The ninja in blue snapped. 'Mikey,' simply laughed. "Sorry bro! A little late now, huh? " The mutant in purple groaned. "Mik-" He cut himself off as Liz swung her blade at him. He stumbled backwards, and Mikey rushed to help aid him. Ash focused her attention on the male in red. He charged her, swinging his Sais, yelling angry battle cries. She smirked, and used the smooth metal of her bow's arch to block his attack. The blades of his weapons were easily caught on the polished iron of her bow. With one smooth twist of Silver, she had his arms locked in a painful position. Red kicked at her, and sent her back a few steps. Sadly, she had forgotten about the fourth ninja, Blue. The soft whistling of his katanas slicing through the air was what alerted her to his attack. She swung, and used her tail to trip Red , who had attempted to take advantage of her distraction. As he fell, Ash was busy trying to load her bow again. Her arrow had fallen off when she had been kicked by Mikey. Unfortunately though, Blue was smart.

He wouldn't give her enough time to load her bow. She hissed at him, and bared her fangs, before she was suddenly pulled down by the ankles. 'Red..' She had forgotten about him after he had fallen. It was hard to fight alone. But it was even harder to fight two against one. She suddenly flipped her self back up, using her legs, which she kicked out with as she rose. Her tail lashed angrily, and she swung her bow, which collided with Blue's head, sending him sprawling. Where was Liz? She needed to be sure that she was okay! But first... She turned and socked Red, right in the stomach. Much to her horror, he caught her fist, and smirked at her.

He made to flip her over his shoulder, but she caught both his shoulder blades in her hands, and latched on. The two were sent tumbling down onto the rooftop below them. Red took the brunt of the fall with his shell, while Ash clung to him desperately. The moment they had landed though, Ash sprung off of him, and loaded her bow quickly. She aimed, and was about to fire when a ninja star dared knock her bow away from her! She hissed, and glared at Red. "Back off Red!" She snarled at him. His eye ridges rose in surprise for a brief moment, before he smirked. Ash found herself really wanting to wipe that smirk off of his smug face. "So you can talk! And here I was start'n ta think you were mute!" He said, sounding smug. This aggravated her further. He was playing with a dangerous fire, and he knew it. "Surrender now, or else I'm going to de-shell you!" She snarled. His smug expression promptly vanished, and was replaced with an angry glare. "Oh yeah? Well we'll see about that!" And with that, he charged.

.......A sudden idea sparked in Ash's mind...

She waited as he charged, and watched as a look of confusion spread across his handsome features.  She smiled as he skidded to a stop in front of her. She slowly moved forward, one foot, two foot... She made sure that her hips swung as she moved. He froze. She gently placed a hand on his left shoulder, and slowly circled him, allowing her hand to slowly drag itself across his arm, shell, and chest. After two full circles, she allowed her tail to gently brush up against his legs. She watched him. He froze in place. It was working. Good. She leaned against him, pressing the length of her body against his chest. A steady blush crept across Red's face. She moved her face closer and stopped when it was inches away from his own. She stared into his bright green eyes. She looked at his lips for a brief moment and heard his breath catch in his throat. She exhaled softly. "What's your name, Red?" He hesitated, and Ash was quick to suppress his..awakening... She wrapped her tail loosely around his left thigh and brought her right hand to drag itself slowly down his well-muscled arm. He stuttered slightly as he finally spoke, unable to break eye-contact with her. "R-Raph...Raphael..."

She leaned her forehead against his. His arms slowly moved to wrap around her. Instantly, she had him pinned beneath her. Though Ash had to admit that their position was a tad...awkward...she had him pinned, so it didn't matter..., right? A leg on either side of him, and her hands had his pinned, her fingers tangled with his, his sais held weakly in his hands. Raphael blushed. "Um..." Ash blushed slightly. "I thought males were supposed to be strong?" she taunted. His gaze snapped up to meet hers, and he glared. "I AM strong!" Oooh! She had touched a nerve. Ash was momentarily delighted before he proved his words to be true. He seized her legs and with a low grunt, he threw her off of him. Despite his efforts, she managed to cling to him, and the two rolled. She coughed awkwardly and turned her head slightly when she realized what a suggestive position they were in. Her long brown hair acted as a curtain and helped hide her blushing face. She kneed Raph where the sun didn't shine and leaped to her feet. She turned and leaped up onto the ledge above the roof that they had been fighting on. She crouched and faced him. She smiled. He stared up at her, seemingly transfixed. She winked at him, flipped her brown hair behind her, blew him a kiss, and leaped for the next rooftop.  Raph stared after her for a moment longer, before he snapped out of his trance, and charged after her.
