Over the course of the next three days, Ash was in pain. Naturally, Liz stayed by her sister's side. She refuesdto leave her sister's side. When Donnie told her to move so that he could check up on her, she had hissed at him and risen threateningly from her post. Instantly, Donnie had recoiled. Sensi's reaction to the sister's prescence in the lair was a mix of neutral sympathy. Raph remained suspisiois, Mikey curios, and Leo... well... he too was honestly quite curios about the two strangers sheltering in their lair. Ash was grateful for her sister's prescence.

Unfortunetly though, Liz began to find herself slowly distancing herself from Ash. The change was slight, and slow in its rise, but it was as clear as day to Ash. She saw Liz watching Donnie enter and exit his lab everyday. She saw the look of longing and the hunger for knowledge in her eyes. She knew what Liz wanted. But this only saddened and angered her. After all they had been through, Liz should have known not to be so willing to trust  someone in such a...short time. It aggravated her. And then, it happened. She awoke on the fifth day of her stay, sore as usual. To find...Liz was gone. Fear flashed through her, before she heard it... laughter.... She rose, ignoring her body's protests., and moved to the side of the garages small opening. There she was... Her sister... was laughing... She was sitting next to Donnie. The two were so...close... Ash felt her heart clench slightly. They looked so...happy.... Liz was sitting in a grey rolling chair, and Donnie was sitting in a black one. 'Oh, Liz... When will you ever learn...' Ash hung her head, and retuned to her place on the couch...alone....

She couldn't sleep... She wasn't used to not having her half sister's warm back against her own. She heard footsteps. Her sister...and Donnie.... Voices. Silence. The minutes ticked by.

Ash was stunned. her heart tightend, and she felt as is she couldn't breathe. Liz...hadn't come to rest with her for the night... 'She...she wouldn't... Would she?' Ash wondered. Fear laced her thoughts. Sadness overtook her. She would. Oh-ho! She would. Liz... She wanted to trust people so badly. Ash remembered the two of them having been given the oppurtunity to sleep in two extra rooms. She'd refused...but Liz had hesistated... Ash exhaled softly. She had looked at her when she had hesistated. Was she holding Liz back? Well...She had never been one to encourage Liz's wanting to befriend someone. Liz wanted and had the chance to have friends. Ash knew though, that she had and never would, have the chance to have a true friend... People just...didn't like her.... Once they didn't need her, it was bye-bye Ash! So... It was true then... Ash trembled. A soft whimper escaped her. So, she was holding Liz back. She was the one keeping her from a happy life... Tears ran down her pale green cheeks, and silent sobs racked her body. No Irish green arms wrapped around her. No soft, comforting voice whispered soothing words in her ear. Liz was drifting away. Ash was loosing her. She was loosing all she had left... She was loosing her sister... She whimpered again.

Perhaps... If this continued, then it might be best for Ash to leave....so that her dear sister could live a happy life, without her there, to weigh her down....

Ash lay there that night, her body racked by quiet sobs...

Silent tears streaming down her cheeks...
