ASH'S POV-
Ash groaned softly, before shifting slightly. Slowly, her eyes fluttered open. She winced at the bright light that immeditly stabbed at her sensitive eyes. She blinked sleepily, before her eyes were finally able to adjust to the painful light. She looked around. 'Where am I?' This wasn't the shed...or Shredder's lair....or...Wait...'The rooftop-the ninja turtles-falling-' "LIZ!"she shouted. her cry echoed around the strange room. She herself was lying on a couch, in what appeared to be a makeshift living room. "Hm, so this is what a pillow feels like..." Ash murmered softly, momentarily forgetting the danger that she was in. Suddenly, she relized something. These walls... That..smell... Clearly, she was underground, in the...''sewers?" She whispered increduosly. Before she heard the sound of several pairs of feet, approaching her, and fast. Instinctivly, she reached for her weapon-only to find nothing? Panic consumed her, as she sat up and began to search about her in a wild state of fear. 'Where is my bow!?' The footsteps were coming closer, and were growing louder. She made to stand, and run, until-"ASH! STOP!" She froze, and her left leg promptly gave out on her, sending her tumbling to the floor in a crumpled heap. "OW..." she groaned in pain.
She curled inwards, and whimpered softly. She felt like she was being stabbed by millions of broken eggshells in her left leg, and right arm. Suddenly, she felt a familiar, soft, cool touch on her side. "Liz?" she whispered. Slowly, she was turned over, and she at last made eye-contact with her- "sister..." she breathed. Then her gaze moved to see the four green figures standing behind Liz. Here eyes narrowed, and she hissed, before a fresh wave of pain washed over her, and she fell into a whimpering, wheezing fit. Liz's touch was soft, and gentle, and her gaze was one of honest concern. "Ash," Liz began, her voice clear, and gentle,"it's ok... They...aren't the enemy... Their medic, Donnie helped save your life..." Ash growled. "But they almost took YOURS." she growled again. Liz sighed, and glanced hesitantly back at the four males behind her, before lowering her voice to a whisper. 'I know... And after you heal, we can leave..." Ash opened her mouth to protest, but Liz hurried on, her words clear, and firm. She was not going to budge on this. "They have the stuff you need to heal, and food... Once you're all better, we can sneak off..." Ash thought about. Liz was right. They had proper medical supplies, but she knew that no one ever gave without wanting something in return. Never. Ash hesitated, before speaking, her voice sounding slightly hoarse.
"Do they...have..." Liz leaned closer to try and here her sister's words better. "Do they have...water, and Advil?" Ash croaked weakly. Liz blinked, before she nodded. She turned to the others. Raph grunted as she shifted slightly, clearly impatient. Leo watched attentivly, as did Donnie, while Mikey watched with what must be his usual, innocent curiosity."She...wants Advil...and water...please..." she said, her voice having grown even quieter, as she ducked her head slightly, keeping her eyes focused on her feet. Loe coughed, before looking expectantly at Donnie, who looked back at him in confusion. "What?" Leo facepalmed. "You do have Advil, right Donnie?" Donnie blinked, before nodding slowly. Leo watched him, and Donnie's eyes seemed to glaze over for a brief moment, before Loe snapped him out of his thoughts once more. Donnie! Go get that Advil!" Donnie jumped, before nodding and quickly moving towards what appeared to be...'garage doors? How did they even get these down here....and without anyone noticing?' Ash wondered briefly before she returned her sharp gaze to Leo.
His eyes met hers, and she growled at him again. He quickly put his hands up, and took a cautious step forward, before he slowly knelt near her. Ash watched him warily. "Hey.." he said, his voice soft. "Hey, we're not going to hurt you..I-I mean-not anymore! I-We didn't know that you weren't with the foot..." he spoke as if he were trying to coax a wounded animal out of hiding. "Hm..." Was all she said,. She shifted, and winced. Liz moved closer to her, before carfully sliding in behind her on the couch. Liz snuggled up to her sister, and rested her head on Ash's right shoulder. The young blond then carefully wrapped her arms around her sister, who leaned back into her slightly. Then Ash turned her gaze to Raph, who was standing with his arms crossed staring at his feet with narrowed eyes. Then she looked at what appeared to be the youngest mutant, who was standing behind him. He had bright blue, inqusitive eyes, and adorable freckles that were sprinkled on his cheeks. Ash wasn't fooled though. She remembered what he had done.
He was the one at the end of that chain.... The very chain that had seperated her from her sister. She looked back at Leo, and met his gaze with a guarded expression. Leo sighed. "Look, we...were way too quick to judge you.." He paused, and exhaled softly. Then he motioned towards the iron collar on her neck. "If we'd stopped and watched you, we would have relized that you two obviusly aren't working for the Shredder." Donnie suddenly appeared beside her, and she flinched instinctively. he frowned, before holding up a small glass of water, and opening his left hand, revealing two small blue pills. Ash looked from him to the glass, to the pills, and back again, before looking at Liz. Donnie resisted the urge to role his eyes. "It's not poisen... I promise, ok?" Ash growled. 'Promises...I have never met someone who hasn't used such a word as lie... Tempters...Liars...all of them...' She growled. Only Liz kept her promises. No one else ever did-at least, not for her, anyway. "Lies..." she mumbled, as she recoiled from him slightly. Liz watched, silent, a neutral expression on her face, but Ash felt her sister's grip on her shoulders tighten ever so slightly. Raph growled. Leo gave him a warning look, before returning his annoyngly clam gaze to Ash. She was growing angry. She wanted out.
"Now why," Leo begain, his voice deadly calm, "would you think that we would want to poisen either of you? Escpecially after Donnie helped heal you." She hesitated. "Because no one ever gives without wanting something in return..." The three turtle mutants froze. "Now, um...Ash? Right?" A pause, before she inclined her head slightly. "We only want to help you and your sis-" Suddenly Raph stepped froward. "Actually Fearless, I do wanna know someth'n." Here Raph turned to glare at Ash, and she flinched back from the heat of his gaze. Liz sat up, alarmed. "Raph, what-" Leo begain, before Raph cut him off. "Who are you guys? Why are you wearing collars? What do you want?" "Raph," Leo began. "NO! WE need to know what kind've mutants that we've brought into the Lair! They might be spies! Or they could be thieves. They might actually work for Shredder, and are lying to us, right now! Either way, we don't know anything about them, besides their names. And those might not even be their names." Mikey shifted energeticly from foot to foot. Tjroughout Raph's rant, the two female shad remained silent. But the hot head had lost all patience. He marched up to the silent mutants, and snarled...the words... " They might be evil... They could be monsters." And the dangerous fire was sparked, and oh, it burned...
