After attending three hours of terrifyingly boring lectures, Aarya opened her school locker. She placed her books in a neat pile like she always does. While she was arranging the last book, she found a crème colored envelope sticking out of one of her novels. The envelope had her name scratched on it in red ink. A smile tugged at her lips as she immediately realized who it from was. Dev. A name which became familiar to her like her own. It had been three weeks since they had returned from their camping trip and things had changed quiet a lot between them since then. It seemed like an entirely different universe, when they used to drive each other crazy.

She remembered meeting that incorrigible flirt who couldn't get over himself, whom she couldn't stand a minute. But that all changed that evening, when they discovered each other. They had grown so close since then. They had spent every waking moment with each other. She couldn't believe it was the same guy whom she hated so much before.

Aarya could never forget the way she had felt that evening. The way he had held her in his arms, he had hold on to her firmly like she was something precious to him. They had kept quiet the whole time, not uttering a single word, but the silence which they shared was beautiful. That memory was crystal clear in her head. She couldn't help nut blush every time that memory resurfaced.

Aarya fumbled to open the envelope. Her heart was bursting with excitement as she took out a yellow colored piece of paper. It was the yellow color of the sunset. It was her favorite color and she had mentioned this in front of his precisely once.

Hey Annie,

I don't need to mention who it's from because the messy handwriting says it all. Yeah it's your king of lame jokes, miss honeydew (honestly though my jokes aren't that bad, I don't know why you consider them so).

Anyways coming to the point, I want you to meet me in your backyard today at ten 'o clock. No excuses. You have to come. I made a list of why you should be there:-

1)you have never from what I know about you till now stayed out of house after seven and you are about to be 18 in like · eleven months. You got to loosen up a bit.

2) And it's also my birthday, just so you know.

So you have to come alright. I wont accept your wishes or anything if you don't and my birthday cant exactly be happy if the most important girl of my life doesn't wish me.

Always there to annoy you

Dev :)

"that dominating idiot", she muttered to herself as a smile crept up her lips.
