Your introduction paragraph should include:
Thesis statement.
A mini outline for the paper: tells the reader what the essay is about. The last sentence of this paragraph must also contain a traditional "hook" which moves the reader to the first paragraph of the body of the paper.
How to write a thesis statement:
A thesis statement focuses your ideas into one to two sentences. It should present the topic of your paper and also make a comment about your position in relation to the topic. Your thesis statement should tell your reader what the paper is about and also guide your writing and keep your argument focused.
