Death characters:
Don't make it obvious that he or she is going to die! Hide the fact and then BAM! Character dies (with more detail of course) then your readers will be like "wha-wha-what?! Why would you do that! I loved him/her. I hate this . . . but I'm going to keep reading because I want to know what happens next or if him/her comes have to life . . ."
Honestly I love writing these characters.
