I sit back in my desk and started listening to my iPod before class started. Just in luck, Just A Dream comes on shuffle and I closed my eyes, while listening to the song. Yeah, this song reminds me of my feelings for Camila. I don't know why it just does, because everytime I think about me and her, I realize it's just a dream & I should move on, but I can't. It's not easy moving on when you have a crush on your best friend ever since you were little and she's all I think about. My thoughts were interrupted by Camila.

"Hey Austin," Camila snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Yeah?" I said, taking the earbuds out of my ears.

"Mr. Mitchell wants you to put your music up," Camila turning back to the front.

I wrapped my earbuds around my iPod and put it in my pocket. I paid attention for a couple minutes and then I zoned out. I started drawing random things in my notebook, until the bell rang for the passing period. I walked out the door, when Camila yelled my name.

"Austin!" Camila, catching up with me.

I turned around to face her, "Oh hey Camila."

"What's your next class?" She asked me.

"Uh, Chemistry. What about you?" I asked her.

"Physcology so I'll see you around," Camila smiling and then going downstairs to her classroom.

I walked into Room 13B, which was Chemistry, and saw Alex on his phone, sitting in the desk. I take the seat next to him.

"Whaddup bro," Alex, doing our handshake.

"Hey bro."

"So, how are things going between you and Camila?" he asked me all serious.

"Wh-what do you mean?" I asked, sounding a little nervous. Okay, I was a lot nervous and I started shaking my leg, because I didn't know he knew about my 'crush' on Camila.

"I know you have a crush on her, man and it's killing you seeing her with Jackson."

"How did you know?"

"C'mon, I'm your best friend. We're brothers, Austin." Alex, patting my back and I high fived him.

"Yeah, brothers forever."

The tardy bell rings and Mrs. Gilbert goes up to the front of the class to begin teaching. 10 minutes later, someone walks through the door; I wouldn't want to see him in a million years and just my luck, it's Jackson. Why? Why do bad things always happen to me?

"Mr. Guthy, you're late." Mrs. Gilbert says.

"Sorry about that, Mrs. G but I promise it won't happen again," Jackson said, flashing that cheesy smile of his.

"Take a seat."

And with that, Mrs. Gilbert goes back to teaching. Of course, he gets away with that; he practically gets away with everything and I hate it. I looked everywhere and noticed there was only one empty desk left; that was next to me. Great. Just freaking great.

"Sup puke," Jackson whispered and sat in the desk with a smirk on his face.

I just laid my head down and thought Could this day get any better?

After a while, the bell rings and everyone rushes out of the room to get to their next class. I'm the last one to leave following behind Alex.

"Hey, don't let Jackson get to you, man. He's a jerk and before you know it, Camila is going to finally realize that," Alex trying to make me feel better.

"Thanks, but I doubt it," I said.

I stopped by my locker, while Alex went off to his third class. Anyways, when I was switching my notebooks out, I felt a tap on the back of my shoulder. I turned around and saw... Jackson.

"What do you want?" I said, a little angry.

"Easy, man. I just came to say something," Jackson said in defense.

"What!?!" I yelled and everyone around us started staring at me.

"Don't speak to Camila anymore," he said, which sounded like he was threatening me.

"Why not? She's my best friend."

"Yeah, well she's not anymore so just leave her alone, because she doesn't want anything to do with you anymore," Jackson, before walking away.

"And what if I don't?" I said, feeling the rage inside of me. Jackson has always pissed me off, but today he has pissed me off than ever.

"Or you'll regret it," Jackson, whispering in my ear and then leaving to head to his next class. Even though he's already late which is no surprised, but I'm already late for US History.

I slammed my locker door, which must've been very loud, because the teacher, Ms. Singleton, comes out since my locker is right outside her classroom.

"Austin?" She said, closing the door behind her but just leaving a tiny crack open.

Yeah, she used to be in my neighborhood and was great friends with my parents. I guess she still is, but I don't know.

"Oh, sorry about that, Ms. Singleton," I said, getting ready to leave.

"Austin, you seem tense. Is everything alright?"

"No, it's not."

"Well, do you want to talk about it?"

"Thanks for your concern, Ms. Singleton, but I gotta get to History since I'm late and you should get back to teaching," I said, running off.

"Austin!" Ms. Singleton yelled at me.

I turned around and stopped, "Yeah?"

"If you need to talk, you can always come by after school or lunch. My door is always open," Ms. Singleton said and then going back to teach her class.

I ran to Room 21 and when I got there, I knocked on the door. Mr. Langley opens the door and I slowly stepped in the room.

"Please, take a seat, Austin." He said going back to his computer.

Somewhere in the middle, I saw Camila and she had her eyes buried in a book she was reading. I walked to the back and took the desk in the last row. I can still see her, but Jackson didn't say anything about making eye contact with her. Maybe I can talk to her in private and when we're alone. I mean it's not like he won't know, hopefully. Anyways, I grab my notebook from my binder and started writing in it.
