Austin and Camila are laying on the grass under the big, shady tree in the park; that was their usual hang out spot. They always came here ever since they could start walking as babies. They been best friends ever since they were born, because their parents have been great friends and thought it would be cool if they set up play dates for their kids, so they could have "grown-up meetings."
Austin was rubbing his fingers through Camila's hair, while she was leaning her head on his chest. Yeah, Austin had sort of a crush & most little boys would never hang out with girls their own age, because they didn't want to get "cooties" but not Austin. Nope, he always loved hanging out with Camila in their usual spot at the park.
"Austy," Camila getting up and brushing her hair with her fingers.
"Sorry Camz," Austin, looking down playing with his fingers.
"Can we promise one thing, Austy?" Camila asked, watching families getting out of their cars & walking over to the picnic tables, while little kids run over to the playground.
"What's that?" Austin said, looking up at her.
"We'll be best friends no matter what," Camila said, reaching out for Austin's hands.
"Best friends forever. Nothing will change that," Austin said, smiling and grabbing her hand.
