Beep. Beep.

I turned over and saw that it was 5:30 am. Yeah, I usually wake up early to write a couple songs down and last night I had an idea, which I had to begin writing. I turned on the light and grabbed my songbook off the nightstand to start writing.

Hey hey baby you've been on my mind I knew you for a long
But I've been thinking maybe that you should know
Hey hey baby can we compromise I really want you to be mine
I've got a million places that we could go

I wanna be your everything,
I wanna be the one you need
So tell me where ya been all my life,
Gonna make you mine tonight

Hey baby you, you got what I need
But you say you're just a friend
Yeah you say you're just a friend

Hey hey baby when I look in your eyes
I can tell you're holding something inside
I've been thinking bout you
I've been thinking bout me

I wanna be your everything,
I wanna be the one you need
So tell me where ya been all my life,
Gonna make you mine tonight

Hey baby you, you got what I need
But you say you're just a friend
Yeah you say you're just a friend

In carol city spent most of my nights,
Tryna make the world whistle
It's a hell of a life
How I made them all get low
Bring it back right around
Let the good times roll feeling good right now
But I remember Biz Markie
1989 or maybe 90,
Came to me like a song I wrote,
Cutting class
Chasing you cause you're all I want
Like you, you got what I need,
And if not I'll just pretend
Until I can get your friend
I'm playing though
But maybe there's a little truth sprinkle in 'em,
We be catching eyes and I can see the twinkle in 'em,
Thought we'd be together until I seen the wrinkle in 'em,
But I guess not

Hey baby you, you got what I need
But you say you're just a friend
Yeah you say you're just a friend

I checked the time on my phone and saw that it was 6:40. I went to the bathroom to wash my face & brush my hair and back to my room to pick out my clothes for school. I put on dark cargo pants with a black shirt, along with my red high tops. To top it off, I put a necklace around my neck and a red snapback. I went downstairs to the kitchen to fix a bowl of Cocoa Puffs.

"Morning sweetie," mom said, drinking her coffee.

"Hey mom," I said, eating my cereal.

"You heard about Lebron leaving Miami?" dad said, reading the sports newspaper.

"Oh yeah, going back to Cleveland." I said, finishing the last bite and putting the bowl in the sink. I went up to my bathroom to brush my teeth and headed back to my room. I checked the time and it was already 7. Well, might as well get to school early. I threw my backpack over my shoulder, put my phone & wallet in my pocket, and grabbed my keys off the nightstand. I went downstairs, walked out the door, and got in my Range Rover. I drove to school and pulled into the parking lot. After, I parked, I decided to head to the music classroom, because well I'm here early.

I walked into the classroom and noticed that I'm probably the only one here. Mr. Green must be in the teacher lounge...I'm sure he won't mind me being here, since I'm one of his favorites. I took a seat at the piano and started playing it. I kept playing it, until I heard a noise so I stopped and got up from the seat.

"Oh, hi Austin," Ms. Singleton said, coming out of Mr. Green's office with a couple of boxes.

"Hey Ms. Singleton. What's the boxes for?" I asked, glancing at the boxes in her hands.

"Just for my classroom... I'm sorry, what are you doing in here?"

"Oh, well, I got here early and had to take my mind off a few things," I said, taking a seat.

"One thing I remembered about you when you were little is that you never gave up on things," Ms. Singleton said, taking a seat next to me.

"Well, it's kind of hard when she's dating a jerk, but I don't want to say anything because her happiness is important to me."

"Wait, who are we talking about?" she asked, looking a little confuse.

"No one, just forget it." I said, getting up and leaving the classroom.

I continue walking down the halls when I bumped into someone, "Oh, sorry about that."

"No, it's okay I didn't see you there. Austin?" then when I realized it was Camila.

"I'm so sorry, Camila. Forgive me," I said, helping her up.

"It's fine, Austin. Hey girls, head to homeroom without me," she said to her friends. "So, what was the real reason that you wanted to tell me yesterday at Starbuck's?"

"What?" I was confused, until I remember what she was talking about, "Oh, it was nothing. Plus, it's not really important." I lied. Of course it's important, but if I try to say it, there's probably going to be an interruption like always.

"Okay... Anyways, you wanna walk to homeroom?" Camila, smiling.

That smile of hers is perfect. Everything about her is perfect. I'm in love with her and all her flaws. To me, she's the most beautiful girl ever.

"Hey Austin," she said, waving her hand in front of my face.

I must've been lost in my thoughts. "Yeah?"

"I said do you want to walk to homeroom?"

"Oh yeah," I said, smiling.

We went upstairs and headed to homeroom. I sat in my usual spot in the very back and I would be teased by Jackson or his posse, but not today. Camila would also sit with her friends around in the middle, but today she took the seat next to me and her friends sat around her.

Okay, what is happening?, I kept thinking in my head.
