As soon as my mom picked me up from my therapy session, we drove home and as soon we pulled into the garage, I went to my room and grabbed a pair of athletic shorts & a plain white t-shirt to get ready for a shower. I quickly grabbed a towel from the pantry and went to the bathroom to take my shower.

After I freshened up, I texted Camila saying that she can come on over if she wants to get started on the Algebra 2 homework. She probably finished it while I was at my therapy session, and since she's one of the smartest girls that I know, she probably had no trouble with it. Me on the other hand... that's different.

While I was waiting, I was in the living room watching Family Guy since that show can make me laugh. The doorbell rang, so I got up to open the door and it was Camila.

"Hey Mila," I said looking down, smiling.

"Hey Austy," Camila said coming in and I closed the door behind her.

Wait, did she just called me Austy? She hasn't called me that, since we were little and also in the park when we promised that we would be best friends.

"So, your room?" Camila asking, to know where we'll be doing our homework at.

"Yeah that's fine," I said rubbing the back of my neck and then going upstairs to my room with Camila following behind me.

I grabbed my Algebra 2 book from my backpack and opened the page to the assignment. Camila sat down next to me on the floor and looked over my homework,"You haven't worked on any more problems, other than the ones you did in class?"

"I didn't have time cause I was busy," I said looking down at the math book trying to work on #10.

I stopped working on it because the more I look at it, it seems like I'm doing it wrong. That's the thing about me: when it's math, my brain just like shuts down and I can't process the variables with the numbers. Surprisingly, I pass the subject with a 'C' so let's see what'll happen this year.

"Let's go," Camila said getting up off the floor.

"Where are we going?" I asked out of curiosity, looking up at her.

"My little sister had some difficulty in math last year, so she went to Sylvan and said it helped her," Camila reaching her hand out for me to help get up.

Sylvan? Isn't it that the place where you go to get private tutoring on math and reading? Oh...

"I don't think that's right for me," I said looking down.

Just because I'm having a little difficulty in one subject, doesn't mean I need private tutoring. Plus, I'm already seeing a therapist and if I also went to Sylvan, and Jackson found out... He will make my life even worse... like it's possible.

Just then Camila took a seat back down on the ground next to me, "Austin, is everything okay?"

No, everything isn't okay. I'm in love with you but I can't say anything, because your boyfriend will end me if... no, once he knew about it. I have to go see a shrink because your boyfriend is ruining my life. Pretty much my problems are the cause of your boyfriend.

"Everything is fine, Camila," I said trying to finish my homework.

"No it's not, I know when something is bothering you," Camila putting her hand on top of mine.

"Yeah right," I scoffed, still working on the assignment.

Camila grabbed my hand and looked straight in my eye, "Austin, I have known you all my life and we would tell each other everything. When you were upset, I was always the first one that you would tell on what was bothering you. I never wanted to see you so hurt because I care about you, Austin. You're special to me."
