The group of people-- angels, archangels, demons, and humans-- spent a long day of setting up everything. In order to protect the bunker from Crowley-- who planned to take back Gabriel, an important part in breaking one of the seals to open the true gates of hell-- they had to set up demon traps, hex bags, salt, and everything known to man everywhere. They went around Bobby's field of cars and set up traps and things, then did the same in his house, basement, and all around the bunker. At this point, the only thing they could do was hide out in the bunker until Crowley attacked. And then they all would fight their hardest. If they went down, then sugar, they were going down swinging.
They all decided to camp out in the living room of the bunker, a large cozy room with lots of couches. The small fireplace against the wall had a flickering fire in it, that helped warm the cold room. The bunker didn't have the best heating, and the winter air managed the chill everyone down to their bones. Sara was trapped in a demon trap and Alex did his usual of throwing peanuts at her from the couch across the room. Bobby sat next to the fire and kept it going. Lucifer chatted quietly with him. Dean and Sam walked in and set the food-- some leftover fast food they had in the fridge-- on the table and those who were hungry took some. Sam sat on the couch and Patricia sat down next to him. Kilee and Isaac sat back on a couch, shoulder to shoulder, and just waited.
Castiel brought out an old guitar he found and handed it to Kristyn, she took it and started tuning it. Cas sat down next to Dean, who lazily slung his arm around the angel's shoulders, and Gabriel scooted up next to Kristyn. She finished tuning it and smiled. She gently strummed it, then started playing. It was an upbeat, happy tune. She stomped along to the beat and started singing.
"When Rome's in ruin,
We are the lions free of the Colosseums."Dean leaned into his boyfriend and sighed, listening to the song happily. The past years have been tough, and they were about to get even worse, but he knew they were going to make it. It would be hard, but they could do it. He smiled and hugged Cas closer. He noticed that some of Kristyn's wing's black feathers had started to turn a greyish color, he wondered what that was about.
"In poison places, we are anti-venom
We're the beginning of the end."Sam looked over at Patricia. She had her eyes closed, her head nodded slowly to the music. He couldn't help but grin. He knew he loved her, he couldn't deny it, and now she was laying in his arms. He pushed his hair out of his face and looked at Kristyn as she effortlessly played the guitar and sang.
"Tonight, the foxes hunt the hounds
It's all over now."Castiel pulled his knees up to his chest and felt Dean's arms tighten around him. He noticed that Kristyn's wings had lightened some, he knew what it was. An unheard of tale, one that stated that when two broken angels fell in love, their white wings returned. The blackness would fade and they would find the light together. The ultimate soulmates. He never believed that it was true, but the way her and Gabriel looked at each other and Kristyn's wings all told a different story.
"Before it has begun
We've already won."Bobby looked around at everyone. He's known Dean and Sam since they were kids, and has known Cas for a few years, but everyone else was pretty new. They all seemed nice, good trustworthy people. And for the first time in a long, long time, Bobby was happy. He smiled as Kristyn sang, Gabriel watching her with admiration and Castiel watching her with an unmistakable look of joy. Everyone listened, entranced, and Bobby loved it. He hadn't felt that way in so long, he never thought he would feel happy again. But here he was.
